I have 2 preschoolers and 1 preteen. All fit comfortably on twin mattress with room to grow. The overhead bunk is not as sturdy as the bunks and sometimes sways with too much movement. Definitely a space saver in a smaller room. Easy instructions and assembly doesnt take too much time. I would recommend getting a board of some sort to put under the mattress as an additional safety measure.
Original package had items that were missing and duplicate items. After receiving replacements let the fun begin. Assembly is not for the faint of heart. Albeit time consuming and sometimes difficult, it was worth it.
Careful while assembling that you dont strip out any of your bolt heads, but aside from that this bed is sturdy, great/looking, and my kids love it.
The retaining screws for the leaning ladder are easy to pull out, so a revision Id suggest would be a through/bolt drilled all the way through the bracket and the ladder.
it takes a while and help to put together overall not bad but need to tighten up polts often they come loose after few months. Good for small rooms.the wood is just ok. not for big boys.
This bed definitely requires a larger room. Make sure you verify dimensions prior to purchasing. Fairly easy to put together with some help. Very heavy and sturdily built. The only downside I found was that there arent any spare screws in the set. If you were to strip one of the screws, you would pretty much be out of luck. This bed took about 4 hours to assemble with my girls helping out intermittently. They love the bed and we are satisfied with the quality.
