I think it may be the perfect coffee machine, except its made of plastic. Makes solid coffee, smooth and well balanced. I love the blooming feature. Silly as it may be, the color coding system does make the process a breeze. As for the plastic, its not going to last forever, I can tell you that from jump. Take care of your machine, treat her gently, keep her clean, change her filter, talk with her once in a while.
PS, my machine did not come with the gold tone basket as is listed in the item description. The kinda generic manual states that the basket is included with some models only.
I specifically chose this model because it states it comes with the washable filter instead of having to buy paper filters. The product that gets shipped is the one that takes the paper filters. No where on the packaging does it state it is supposed to have the filter. I saw this coffee maker with the filter at a local store for cheaper than they are selling this one that doesnt come with it.
Absolutely love this coffee maker! My grandparents still use a coffee pot despite the ease of Keurigs and such but theirs broke after 10+ years. I gifted this one to them and they love it!
It is sooo easy to use. It was easy to teach them how to program it for the coffee to be hot and ready when they wake up. It does include a filter but I suggest buying more to prepare. Each filter lasts a month. Obviously, you need coffee filters too. It comes with an easy measuring cup, its also got a very simple LED display. Everything about it is easy and simple. I definitely recommend it!
It does not come with the gold tone filter which / Coffee should buy you one for their misleading information. Also Target sells this same model for 53.99. I spent 85 like an idiot.
I like it and I use it all the time . The problem is it has lots of residue come from the cover on top , It takes a while to make the coffee and it is not a 12 cup , I like it but not for 80 dollars. I would say around 40 dollars at most. The gold filter is not included. Overall is good minus the sudden vapor or residue from on top .
I am excited to see how the self/cleaning feature helps over time with hard water issues. So far I am really appreciating the interruption feature for grabbing a cup while brewing and have experienced much less leaking than usual. The freshness indicator on the LED display is also cool.
So easy and fast to brew one cup of coffee or a lot. has so many nice features like pot warmer on the bottom of pot and a timer for morning coffee etc. really like this coffee maker
When most Americans seem to be suffering from endocrine disorders, drinking hot liquids from plastic coffeemakers is not a great idea because all plastic affects our bodies. I had hoped for stainless steel to be in contact with the hot water, but it is for show. The water is heated in plastic and the water filter is encased in plastic. The water filter doesnt do much for me/ I use a Brita water filter to fill my water reservoir and it is much cheaper. The coffee maker was missing the gold filter. I have several, but all are cone/shaped and this requires a basket/shaped filter. I really prefer the cone for coffee saturation. Made as instructed, the coffee is on the weak side, so use more coffee. The interrupt feature is not foolproof/ I got enough dripping too cause a splatter. The 4/hour warming plate is not useful for me/ it concentrates the coffee, making it more bitter. Id rather uses a thermal caraffe.
