My biggest problem was the placement of the power supply. I did not use it on as a shelf, I used it as my mantle above the fireplace primarily to give me enough room for my Xbox One. It's a nice unit as I said just not happy with the placement of the power supply. I ended up not using the power supply at all.
Very nice console.
It take some time to assemble but its not hard. And once put together, it wont move.
Just beware that it scratches easily. Some pieces come with a protective film, others dont (like the main top board). Ours came with the top board/mantle already scratched with a deep scratch. That was a big bummer.
It still looks really nice. Other than the scratch, I love it.
I Had bought a floating shelf but it didnt work the way I wanted to. So I found this shelf that had the door in the middle to hide the cable box and modem in. Directions were terrible but what do you expect from something thats made in China. Just shows you pictures and you have to figure them out. Eventually I got it together and put it up and I love it. Just be ready for a struggle putting it together lol
Unit sags in the middle, even without a TV resting on it. I put a two pieces of equipment (Receiver: 27.6 lbs, Center Channel Speaker: 24lbs) in the middle and its clearly causing the unit to bow downwards. I have purchased four aftermarket legs and I am going to put one of them in the middle of the unit. My hope is that it counteracts this bowing. Either way its not a deal breaker because the unit price is really good. I also had to drill a second hole with a hole saw because the hole in the back isn't large enough for all of the channels for a surround sound system. Super satisfied. If the unit was more sturdy and didn't bow, I would have given 5 stars.
First of all, the directions were atrocious to understand. Second, it is small than expected. Third, it is not sturdy, rather wobbly…. The laminate finish and lights are nice, though.

Not very strong and needed extra bolts to hold up
