Im only writing this review because I studied reviews for hours before making this purchase 5 months ago. I was hesitant about some of the reviews I read that said the slide came damaged. Ours came in one box and nothing was damaged. The slide was in perfect condition and after daily use for five moths, weve had zero issues.
The box is very heavy, but thats to be expected. The assembly was not bad. It took my husband and I maybe an hour to fully assemble.
Really great bunk bed.
The slide is a little steep so our youngest slides down very quickly. The older kids (4,8) do just fine.
The instructions are terrible and they dont mark any of the pieces so you basically have to guess what piece is what. Took me probably 4 hours to do on my own which was very frustrating. Its a beautiful bed though and my son loves it. Just a pain to set up
I was able to put it mostly together with just the tools included. I only needed a drill for the slats, and honestly I could have done it without one. Just go slow, take your time, and build one piece at a time. My son loves his bed!
I now have extreme PTSD of ever trying to build something ever again. LAWRD I was praying to the gods to help me because I was going to have a breakdown and Chuck it out the window. If you work full time and have no in but yourself to build your childs dream bed and your brain can not compute building things because youre not that type of person then holy cow dont get this bed.
Overall its delightful now that its built but we have to stay in this house for the rest of our lifes because theres no way in H E double hockey sticks that I am ever going to rebuild this again.
Id prefer to just burn it down or hire someone to take it down and rebuild for me. yeah okay Ill do the positive one instead.
Love this bed. My boy loves this bed. He will be 3 in August. Only drawback is the slide is really slick. It took a week or so for my boy to adjust to it. The only other thing to note is that if you dont have a mattress when this is assembled the plank boards that act as the boxspring may bow a little when stepped on directly. My boy is 28 lbs. Made me a little nervous, wasnt sure if that was supposed to happen or not. Since putting on the mattress when I received it havent had an issues with the bed itself. Now if I can just get the child to stay in the bed. Lol
Edit: Now that my boy has had this bed for 8 months, the planks supporting the mattress have become very squeaky and disruptive to my son trying to settle and go to sleep. I will be having a friend Secure each individual plank instead of the 4 that are secured per instructions to hopefully remedy the issue. My son is now 30 lbs. I have found that all the wood and slide can easily be drawn on with chalk and wipes off easy. On the same note of chalk I have not been able to find a chalk board eraser yet that works well on the attached chalk board. When I move in February I will likely donate this bed and get him a new one. Long term this bed isnt designed to last.
You definitely need two ppl to put it together obviously lol but its pretty simple. Its sturdy and so worth it for he price. Im 183 in weight and my 3 year old is 32lbs and we both laid down on it so it can hold some weight lol she loves this bed. We all do. Worth it. Buy it lol dont second guess lol we bought an 8 inch twin size mattress no box spring needed and it fit perfect.
This bed is AMING for our 2 year old. She absolutely loves it! Super easy to put together and extremely sturdy. Tons of underneath storage. Would give it 10 stars if I could. The ONLY thing I was bummed about was That I wasnt aware it came in two separate packages on different days and I took my Daughters whole room apart between packages. Other than that love love love

This bed is for my 3 year old. It currently seems to be sturdy for him. I wish it was a touch taller under the bed for easier play but he loves it.
