If you are a big person and the circumference of your calves are larger than the maximum calf size they have of 17.9, then these nice waders will not be a good fit for you. I have 19 calves and could not fully pull the boots up. I felt the tight fit at the boots may cut off the blood circulation to my feet and cause much larger problems like a blood clot or feet falling asleep after a long period of wearing them. The waders overall feel well made but the boots are somewhat heavy and may feel like heavy bricks after a long day of fishing. Safety is something I also considered. If you purchase these waders and intend to use them in the ocean surf, then you may want to seriously consider buying a good life jacket in case you suddenly get caught in a rip tide or large sneaker wave while wearing them or any other waders.
Only because of the narrow boot issues Im returning them and sadly didnt get to try them in the water, but I think these are an overall good set of waders for the price. I just wish and other wader manufacturers would consider attaching roomier boots for larger people as a purchase option. From here Ill be considering some neoprene or stocking foot waders which may offer more room at the lower leg area.

A real problem with lower priced waders the last few to several years has been that the footies are clearly not sized with North Americans in mind. Having to get a XXXL to get a foot size over 9 means the waders completely envelope me, including my head, and Im 6 ft tall. All that extra horizontal material winds up vertical! I would have to cut eyeholes!
The size L I obtained easily and comfortably accommodates a size 11 foot, as claimed on the website. As long as these have a reasonable lifespan before the inevitable leaks start, Ill buy them again. I gave it a 5 for warmth; I should explain that is because they are NOT warm. I dont like getting overheated, and would rather vary the layer(s) under the waders according to water temperature, as I use them in multiple seasons and latitudes. If you want warm waders, these would not be a good choice.

Ordered the W10/M8 which says 51.1 inches in the hipand its not enough seat room for me. They are super tight across the butt, not uncomfortably tight but they restrict my movement.
I bought these last minute with low expectations thinking they would fall apart surf fishing but it suited pretty well. Probably better for fly fishing but they held a lot better than I expected. One gripe, the chest pockets zipper ripped after a few hours into using them and that was pretty disappointing but they were comfortable out of the packaging and hardly cumbersome compared to other chest waders. Inseam was a bit too close to the groin but the shoes fit nicely. Would probably buy again if they last 6 months

So far these are really great! Im high and dry fishing in the Milwaukee, WI rivers. For the price, cant be beat!
