The slats seem really bendy and feeble with lines vertical lines across them like two or three short pieces were glued together. It was also quite hard to put them on because I had to stretch them out tightly to place them in the right spots. But the frame is holding up just fine. I really like the look of it.
This bed was easy to assemble. My daughter and I put it together in about 20-30 minutes. It seems made well and the legs are good and solid. The wood slats are bound together by canvas binding to help hold them in place and keep them evenly dispersed under the mattress. The only thing I didn't like is we ordered a full size and it actually is a little bigger than the mattress all the way around so the bed gives the impression the mattress is too small. Once my daughter made the bed it's not too bad, but it definitely sticks out a little further than the mattress on the end.

I was going to go with a metal bed frame because its cheaper, but a friend of mine says its not as quiet as theyd like. I have full confidence that the sturdiness of the wood is far superior to a metal frame. Well worth the extra money.
At first I thought the 11 pages of instructions with no words just pictures was going to be horrible. Nicely, l was absolutely wrong. I followed the pics exactly and as a small female put this bed together by myself with no extra tools required. It is sturdy and works perfectly with the Zinus 14 inch mattress I also purchased from . The bed and the mattress together are less than I paid for my last bed frame and both are better quality. Thanks !
