I went all out for my son for his birthday this year since we couldnt invite people over. Wanted to ensure my babies are safe with COVID and all. I decked out his room with this new loft bed and added pieces to surprise him. We added bows to everything that was new in his room! LOL! It was great because we legit re/modeled his room and didnt let him in until his birthday. I had presents both open and wrapped all over his room, which became the perfect gift. Great!
We ended up getting two of these beds since our girls share a room and wanted some personal space of their own. The boxes they came in were pretty heavy.. it took two grown men to hoist them up the stairs. Assembly was pretty intense too.. Im a shade tree mechanic but it still took a couple hours apiece to put them together. Overall though, theyre very sturdy and my kids love them. Theyre very nice beds. Good quality.
I bought this bed over a year ago and Ive moved once to a new home and Ive had to move the bed out of the room it was in for renovations. The first time I put it together, I had help and its a pretty solid bed. For the moves, it was pretty easy to take the top bed part apart and keep the shelves/desk together in their separate ways and just move the bed. I would recommend however not moving it by yourself/ but it can be done!
Pros: Great for a child who is still young and even better for this distance learning hes gotta do. He calls the desk his office and we have it set up and ready for when he starts school. Hes going into second grade and should have this bed for a while.
Solid shelves provide adequate play area or book shelf. Ive at one point hung his laundry hamper from one side and it was pretty handy.
We have a couple of cats and while Im not happy with the claws, they have found the height of the bed to be great exercise and as long as they dont tear up the sheets or mattress, I find their behavior is less destructive with this bed. They do have a cat tree and they go in and out but its worth mentioning.
Cons: The screws come loose over time and Ive actually lost a couple since this last time that I moved it. I discovered at least two were totally missing and while Im not ruling out that they may have been tampered with, they all were from the shelves which have smaller screws. So Im mentioning this mostly as a keep an eye out. The instructions do recommend tightening the screws about once a month, which has been done and somewhere between those times the screws have gone missing.
Overall, I think its worth the money and I know my son loves his bed. Kids love it easy to put together.
This was a hit with my daughter. The instructions say it might take 90 minutes to assemble. It took more like 3 hours / mostly because there are so many parts and no one wants to have to do something more than once. Take your time and get it right. Great bed. Lots of storage. Perfect.
when we ordered this item it said it would be two weeks until delivery. We received in less than a week. The shipping box was well put together but heavy. You will need two people to carry the box. Started putting together the night we received the item. Directions are clear and understandable. I mainly put the bed together with help from my husband and it took a good 2 hours plus. The bed is sturdy. My 6 year old loves it and will hang on the side rail. Perfect for kids and will be great when she grows up. We did cover the steps with plumbing wrap because the stairs are a bit small and hurt your feet. I would totally recommend this product. Easy assembly.
My daughter absolutely loves everything about this bed. It has given her so much more room to work with. The only things I think could be made better is if the desk and bookshelves could be installed on either side giving more flexibility, and to have a gap in the safety rail to make it easier to get on and off the bed. I actually cut one out myself with a reciprocating saw. As it comes out of the box it was a little awkward, and in my opinion slightly dangerous. Love it!

One hole wasnt fully drilled through but we solved that problem. My daughter loves having a desk under her bed and more space in her room. Better than expected.
This bed is wonderful and very useful. My 10 year old daughter loves it. It was heavy when delivered. Two people are needed to handle this bed. It was not difficult putting the bed together. The instructions were written step by step in a well made handbook. The only tool needed was an alley key which is provided. The knly downfall is the stairs. They are painful and I wish the steps would be wider. I will try some of the hacks posted with boiler raps or pool noodles. Other than that issue I love this bed for my daughter. Its durable and not shakey at all. Good,
