Good but not great – plastic corner pieces bring it down

This is made of fairly sturdy frame parts, except for the gold corner pieces which are plastic. Its those corner pieces that are the weak point. I cant imagine why they made those of plastic. Perhaps it lowers the price of the set dramatically? The frame is fine for a childs bed (if they arent into serious bed jumping) but I wouldnt use it with an adults bed as its a bit wobbly. corner pieces may have helped here. I also suspect that the plastic pieces will be what ultimately results in the canopy frame becoming no longer useful. If this frame is at the limits of what you want to spend, its a good choice; if you can spend more to get a frame with all construction, you may want to consider that. But thats JustMe. (I received this product in exchange for an honest review, and that is what I have offered here.)

    Beautiful and sturdy

I would have given this 5 stars but the instructions and drawings were not as clear as they could have been and my husband struggled a bit. It also had a LOT of parts and took most of the afternoon to assemble. Once assembled, this bed is awesome, our 7 year old grandson has been doing gymnastics on it for the last several hours and its holding strong. Very sturdy and looks gorgeous Affordable and very nice!

Takes a good bit of time to assemble Seriously though why super adhesive sticker for markers....

This is rather beautiful once it is put together. It was protected very well in its packaging and arrived with no damages. There are a TON of parts to this bed frame. All of the hardware is included and while an Allen Wrench is provided I highly recommend using an electric drill (lowest torque setting) or your assembly time will take hours. The hardware for this does NOT match the directions. Additionally, all of my hardware was loose in the packaging so not only did it not match the photos I had just a mass of it. SO that took a hot minute to sort out. All the bars were labeled with stickers.. You think this is awesome until you have to peel them all off. Assembly, with power tools and 2 people took over an hour. And we had to make some adjustments since one of the directions wanted us to put this bed on its side to finish putting together. Hope you have a massive amount of space. Once its all done it looked great, fit the full sized bed perfectly and matched/complemented existing furniture in the room. BUT THEN you see the WARNING DO NOT HANG FROM stickers on ALL FOUR of the canopy poles. Really... These are like super glued on. It took me 20 minutes and a full mini bottle of hand sanitize to get these off. Overall, we like this bed but a TON of changes need to be made with the instruction booklet and the stickers...seriously no

    A bit wobbly

Frame arrived in an obscenely well packaged manner, the styrofoam was even glued to the box to ensure that the contents stayed in place through shipment. Assembly was tedious, definitely smoother with two people and a second set of tools. Speaking of, you will need a Phillips screwdriver (not included), and the included wrench is one of the cheap ones so not too strong. Once assembled, the frame is a little shaky even when everything is secured, so theres no fixing that. The holes didnt line up well, but honestly, that was expected. Up close the gold accents are a touch gaudy, they are plastic. The frame does fit the mattress perfectly and provides support for a mattress. Unlike another canopy bed I have, this one will not accommodate a box spring (if desired).

    For the granddaughter...

Were fixing up a special bedroom for our granddaughter who visits often - she slept on a twin daybed last time. So next time shell find she has a full size canopy bed with netting - just like the movie stars! We like this black iron bed, because it will allow us to make decor changes depending on who is visiting - it can look very industrial and modern - or very farmish (which is our decor). Easy to set up, fits a standard full mattress - really fun to work with, and it will give our granddaughter a fun experience. Very sturdy and strong. Fun choice!

    Not Impressed

This bed came in a single long thin box. What seemed like a simple item to assemble was unnecessarily arduous. Holes did not line up and it was a hassle. The end result looked okay. The gold plastic is striking against the black from a distance. Up close it was gold plastic. The bed itself feels flimsy and a tad wobbly. Having a canopy bed was a dream of one of my household. Still dreaming.

    Super modern chic

Love it! Id been looking for a reasonably priced poster bed for a while with no luck Im super glad I thought to check . Took a few weeks to arrive but was super straight forward to assemble. Not sure how it will be over time (weve only had it a month) but its exactly like described, love it!

High end look without the high end price tag!

I was looking for a bed that has a high end look without the high end price tag. This bed gave my room the look I was looking for. I went to Restoration Hardware for inspiration and this looked very close. I airbrushed the plastic gold connector pieces on the corners a chrome color to give it that elegant high end finish. Update: Still Sturdy almost 1 year later no noise as some reported. I forgot to mention previously I paid someone on thumbtack or task rabbit to put it together. It took the person about 2.5 hours. Amazing product and worth the price

Cool bed. You need two people.

I have had this bed for about two weeks now, and it has held up well thus far. I decided to treat myself after spending many years sleeping on a futon. While scrolling, I came across this bed, and one epic review thats under the two star column, which along with the lack of complaints about supports bending with this frame, helped me choose this one. You need two people. The WHOLE time.I received my bed in one very awkward to maneuver box. It takes two people to move. I feel very bad for the driver, and would have helped, but I had no idea that it had arrived. Yes it was dented, but all of the pieces inside were fine. I called a few friends, and then the magic happened.... I would say that between two and sometimes three of us, it took a while to assemble this bed. 3 hours. The instructions are actually pretty clear, and you get almost everything you need- bolts, screws, alan wrench. You will also need your own Phillips head screwdriver as well. You will also possibly need a hammer. We struggled most with some of the frame parts being hard to screw together, and we ended up bending them a little with a hammer. Its also easier to fully push in the gold end caps with light taps with a hammer. I also found it hard to screw the screws into the gold end caps. The holes lined up, but it took a lot of force to get them in. After much flipping and turning, the bed was together. I advise highly to take your time and pay really close attention to what letter pieces connect to where. Thats where we lost some time. To wrap this up, after hearing a scary crack the first night when I went to sleep, the bed has been relatively soundless. Most noise comes from the canopy part, but its not enough to wake me up; or feel unsafe. No, Im not engaging in adult nocturnal activities, but I would believe the bed would be much noisier if you did. Im currently using my two futon mattresses, and the frame is supporting them well. You do have space for under bed storage if you wish to use it. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.
