Purchased this as my daughters first starter bed.
When finished:
The bed looks great and color is very nice. Twin mattress fit perfectly and it feels sturdy. Its a GREAT starter bed.
What you should know:
1. The instructions that comes with this bed makes Ikeas instructions look awesome. Meaning, the instructions for this bed isnt the best and if you are building furniture for the first time, youll spend some time figuring out what pieces are what, how you should take apart the sliding sides, etc. This was my second furniture so I was able to figure this out fairly quickly.
2. Like many of Ikea furniture, this bed is made of manufactured wood; meaning, its not a solid wood. Thats why I think this is a great starter bed. It does feel solid once you lay down the wood platform and mattress.
3. The alphabet labels are on every piece but they are imprinted somewhere along the edges. My dad was a huge help because he sorted out all the pieces and this really helped us.
4. You can definitely build this bed alone but I STRONGLY recommend two people. One person can build and the other person can assist.
5. Once you have the bed frame put together, youll realize that it isnt very solid and it will wobble until you lay down the two large wood that serves as mattress platform.
6. Get a power tool. There are 3/4 pieces that you need to set and it does not have wholes where screws can fit. That means you need to screw into the wood by hand. With a power tool, it was easy. But ONLY use power tool for this step, otherwise, you can EASILY strip out the screw heads because their screws arent the best.
Overall, it took me 90 minutes with help. Again, this was my second furniture and I believe knowing what to expect saved me at least 30/60 minutes. My first furniture, it took me 60 minutes just to figure out step 2 and 3. No joke. Their instructions are not the best.I was very unhappy because I was sent the item about instructions.
I ordered this bed because me and my sister were moving out into a studio apartment. Assembly wasnt hard, but did take a while because of how small the details in the instructions were. It was a little difficult to discern how the separate parts came together because of how it was organized and presented.
Make sure you have a classic + screwdriver as well as an electric drill, because some holes will need to be created. Bring extra furniture pads for the corners because they only come with a few.
It fits a standard twin size mattress and is very solid and not wiggly in framework (as long as you assemble it tight but not too tight).
Ok, so now some cons. It came delivered with some pieces cracked and almost broken, so that shows how ikea/esque some of the pieces are. That being said, the entire bed is very heavy, and will require at least 2 people to carry it. The drawers knobs dont fit very tightly onto the drawers, so superglue is recommended.
All in all, not a bad short/term investment. The length isnt as long as you think, so its good for apartments or dorms. Best deal for a very nice
My wife put it together the first time and it started falling apart. The problem was the locking mechanisms that hold it all together. The locking mechanisms hold the pins in place but you need to screw them down pretty tight or else theyll loosen up and the parts become loose.
A couple parts got scuffed during shipping but they were all inner parts (not seen normally) so not a big deal.
Overall still pretty nice just make sure everything is tight otherwise you might wake a toddler when the foot board falls off at 2am Very sturdy and durable
Very nice for the price. No damage to any of the pieces. I am a female and put it together by myself in about 2/1/2 hours. Not hard at all to put together. truly easy to install
The frame itself is good and sturdy, great for a kids room. All together it took around an hour to set up with a Phillips head screwdriver, everything else you need is included in the box and the instructions are easy to follow.
What was better than the bed was s customer service. As large heavy press/board furniture often is, it was damaged in shipping. Two of the drawers had thumb sized chunks missing out of them. I honestly expected to just dab a little white paint on the damage and call it even, but for grins decided to call the number on the side of the box. Without question they double checked the order, confirmed the damaged part numbers, and sent them expedited shipping. One of the best companies ive had a chance to purchase from in a long time and they will definitely be my go/to for any future furniture needs. I like the sturdiness and comfort of this product.

Right price, right bed! I was impressed by the thought behind how this was packaged. Each piece fit like a puzzle with additional wood and foam for shock absorbency. All the pieces and hardware were intact, with extra hardware included. It also included painted and natural knobs for the drawers which was a nice surprise since it allowed us to choose how we wanted it to look. It came a day earlier than expected, which was wonderful since it beat the rain. The bed was easy to put together with clear instructions. The drawers have helped me organize our daughters art supplies, dress up items and puzzles. I would love it if they were a bit bigger, but they hold much more than Id expected. Everything is particle board, so I dont imagine that this piece will move with us, but it is an aming value for the money. We are VERY pleased that we chose this one and even happier that, through Prime, we didnt pay shipping or delivery fees as we would have at other furniture stores. Also, we have a twin bed rail that fit perfectly with this. We are very happy with this! Product was just as descriproduct

It is a good starter bed, and will not take too much abuse. Its mostly particle board with screw type fasteners to hold the unit together. One side of a drawer came in damaged but after a quick phone call I had the part in house within 48 hours after calling.
Very easy to clean, and works great with headboard system of similar make and style. We bought two beds and have been very happy with the selection, price and quality. My 9 10yr old are very happy with their beds. It is very heavy when it arrives so paln on having some help getting it inside to get it unpacked and ready for setup. Well made. Good price.
