Really happy with these they were missing a couple of rods dosen't really affect performance. I could probably call the manufacturer and ask for them but it is not really a big deal as of now. Easy to put together and seem durable.
We operate a little yurt rental business, basically round tents out in the woods. We've had 4 of these in one yurt for 6 years, and there has been minimal issues with 50-60 nights a year rented. We used to have to break them down and set the beds up every year so no loctite on the bolts, but this year we left them up and used loctite on all the fasteners. As we took them apart every year we replaced all the fasteners with hex bolts which were a step up from the fasteners that came with the beds. They are very solid, but as others have said they do squeak.
We bought two more for another yurt, and there was some damage to the hinges (likely human error). I submitted photos and the serial #s, and DHP shipped out replacements in no time. Considering we have adults using these, in the woods, sometimes with adult beverages, they hold up very well. This set of two gets used about 100 nights a year.
I plan on running wire rope and turnbuckles in the corners to help shore them up and prevent squeaks. That, or angle plates.
I have been daunted by the many rather small metal pieces required to assemble this bed so have not done so within the 30 days I've had it but I must write a review.
Once I gather up the courage to begin putting it together I will update this review. It did arrive with the box coming apart but I believe all the pieces are intact. It IS very heavy. I will write more soon - sorry.
Be sure how you lign up the sides if you mix something up the holes where the ladder goes is gonna be not aligned up and youll have extra work taking it apart and trying again. Either way whole thing took 90min but its all done by hand. sure would be nice for a drill bit to work but nope.
