The back is a bit low, but not annoyingly low. Its also a bit deep for smaller people, so were adding pillows. But its gorgeous. It came a couple of days early. Its very classy and elegant. Since we just got it today, I dont yet know how it will hold up. But we had about 525 pounds sitting on it at once, and it didnt break!
First of all the positive things: The colors look great and the sofa is very light to move around easily. When you use it as only a sofa I think it works. However, when you try to use it as a sleeper sofa it doesnt work. The reason is the back is so weak that it doesnt hold your weight. I actually fell down with the whole thing while trying to to do that. It is not suitable for use as a sleeper sofa. The length and the extension back is not strong enough to carry you. So this was a bit frustrating to see. But if you can support the back with a wall that would really work. I use it for sitting and also laying down on it from arm to arm meaning horizontally. My feet of course extend out but its ok.
I’m using this in my home office and love it! It’s smallish but comfortable, and the navy velvet gives it a formal feel but it’s still simple and modern. Good value!
