Bed is great, the instructions are wonky, but I tend to be able to get through wonky instructions relatively easily. I could see where many people would get jammed up though. Sometimes you have to just look ahead to see where you will need holes to be etc.. The bed itself, once assembled is plenty solid and sturdy. Good buy and fire very nicely across our queen bed for our 1 bedroom apartment.
The bed is sturdy, solid, and in white it looks greats. My two little girls love it.
Negative: The construction is a bit of a pain (but not as bad as some other reviews. It takes at least a solid two hours to set up. Every single piece is individually wrapped in plastic and makes a mess when you unpack it.
However....once its built...youre done and it works and looks great.
This bed was just what we needed. Somewhat easy to put together, but clear your calendar for the day because it will take all of it!! Other reviews were very helpful and spot on with tips for putting bed together. Definitely read those first.
Its a fun loft and perfect to hang your hammock under. There were a couple parts that didnt fit correctly to where the bolts couldnt go all the way in. Other than that, cool loft.
Putting it all together does take a good number of hours. However the payoff is freaking awesome! I would recommend buying pool noodles/zip ties and cutting to size for the ladders. As far as use goes, I occasionally check screws for tightening. There are light squeeks but thats the worst of it.
I stand about 72 inches tall (6 feet and I weigh about 260ish lbs. It handles me very well considering. Getting used to climbing into a bunk style bed took some getting used to but Im good now. :-
Great! The top reviews instruction suggestions were mostly helpful. We did the crossbar/ladder the wrong way. Was a pain.
Easy to assemble if you do everything exactly right. If you goof, oh boy!
Two reasonable, patient and smart people and it took 2-2.5 hours to put together.
Metal ladder is not easy on feet but great for price.
First off, I just want to say that I couldnt be happier with the quality of this product. We got the silver bunk with the under desk kit. Now that Ive got it all together and screwed into the wall, I am continually impressed with this piece of furniture. The metal itself feels heavy duty and good quality and the design of the bed is well thought out.
I also like that since the bed is all constructed from metal tubing and struts, you can easily modify the bed to support third-party electrical components like surge protectors and under-bed lighting. Zip ties are your friend with this bed.
The only thing that drove me nuts about this product are the assembly instructions. Overall, theyre easy to understand, each step has directions and illustrations to show you what youre supposed to be doing. Though there are a few times during assembly where small details make all the difference and these small details are not clearly marked in the illustrations and barely mentioned or not mentioned at all in the steps.
If you get just the bed alone, you wont have any issues with the instructions as it goes together pretty easily. Though if youre also installing the desk underneath, you will have to pay special attention to where each cross bar goes and how its oriented as the holes for the shelving unit only mate with one of the bars and in one particular orientation, which is not explicitly noted in the instructions. This is because the bed and the desk are technically two separate kits that fit together but neither set of instructions make much mention of the other part and as a result, fine details get lost.
Overall, its a great product, but the instructions need work. Please pay close attention to even the smallest details or you may find yourself redoing steps multiple times like I did. Here are some things I learned putting this together that may help you out:
1. The bed will be more stable in the long run if you use Loctite on all of your bolts.
2. If installing the desk too, skip the last step of bed assembly, which instructs you to terminate all remaining holes to make it look more polished. These holes are all used for the desk so you shouldnt spend the time covering them as the first step of desk assembly is to uncover all of these holes.
3. The brackets used to screw the bed into the wall dont seem to be mentioned in the instructions but the best joints/screws to use for these brackets are the bolts that are screwed vertically into the bottom of the rear cross bar, or the ones that screw horizontally into the rear vertical tubes.
4. I couldnt find two bolt locations that lined up with standard wall stud spacing, so I had to drill a hole into the rear cross bar to accommodate two wall brackets. You could probably get away with one if you use a thick and sturdy screw to drill into the wall stud.
5. Standard 48 LED strip lighting adheres to the bottom of the rear cross bar perfectly and does a great job of lighting up the desk and the wall behind the bed.
6. Zip ties will allow you to attach all sorts of cool things to this bed to extend its functionality without needing to permanently modify the bed itself.
7. I highly recommend zip tying a surge protector into place to the rear cross bar under the desk. That way you can plug a light, computer, device charger, etc all into the desk surge protector without having to go directly to the wall. So the bed then contains its own power grid, making it easier to move the bed around in the future without having to rewire the electronics on your desk.
Good product. Its as good as the stuff Ive seen in stores, and at about half the price. Brackets to secure bed to wall not spaced quite right for wall studs. Assembles in just a couple hours, even in intense heat with children jumping on top of you. I would NOT endeavor to put myself in this bed, despite being just under the weight limit. Its for kids. We wanted a queen bed to fit underneath longways. It doesnt, but it fits comfortably the other way. I had no issues with parts, fasteners, or other hardware supplied with the bed.

Nice bed frame
Nice bed frame placed over a queen bed to save space. Fits great. The only nit is that it squeaks when the sleeping person moves at night.
Solid, but instructions a little funky.

Great for less than $200!
