Bought 3 of these in full size for my boys so they can have more room in their bedroom. Setting up the bed was not difficult, my husband and I got through the first one in about an hour or so and then we breeze through the next one pretty fast. My 14 years old even put his bed together by himself with little help at the end with holding the side rails so he can put screws in. Boys loved their new bed. My youngest was scare at first because his new bed was so high up but he got used to it pretty quick. The steps is skinny so it does hurt when climbing up. We saw in another review they put pool noodle on the step to help with some cushion and thats what we did. Not the best solution but its cheap and it works! Maybe down the road my husband can build a step but for now this will do. Bed is sturdy enough, just make sure all the screws and bolts is tight enough.
I bought this bed for my son, Im five months pregnant and put it together by myself. It took about 5 hours (lots of pee breaks lol, but it turned out great. The instructions were clear and everything was included. There is ample space underneath for whatever he wants. Im not exactly the handy type but as long as you pay close attention to the instructions and the layout of the bed it was actually kind of fun to assemble. Its sturdy enough for the price, would be more sturdy if I secured it to the wall, but Im renting so thats not an option. The only complaint I have is the ladder, blame it on the swollen feet but it hurts to climb. I plan to buy some pool noodles to slip over it for comfort. The assembly time would have gone by much quicker with a second person, there were a few things I definitely could have used an extra set of hands for, but I was too impatient and couldnt wait for my husband to get home. Overall- a great product.
This bunk bed is good looking one. It has a good metal quality and it is thick. I love how they gave spare parts on every tools and the instructions are direct to the point. It is heavy but it is really worth with the money cause you can tell by its look and the metal that its going to last long. So happy with this purchase.
Im a 52 female and was able to assemble this by myself. It can be secured to the wall (those pieces are not all included but is sturdy enough without. The ladder is a little uncomfortable on your feet but we covered them with pipe insulation using zip ties. Bed does creak a little but isnt super noisy. Overall my son loves it! We have 8 ft ceilings and there is plenty of room for him to sit up comfortably without hitting his head.
4. Its a solid 4. You will like this bed frame. Its sturdy, its easy enough to assemble, and it looks good. There are a few small gripes that others have had as well. First off it is going to kill your feet. You have got to buy pool noodles for the ladder. Put em in your cart with this purchase and youll be a happy camper. Second, climbing over the top sucks. There should have been an opening designed into this thing. Whatever, we all will make due. It just sucks. I have accidentally crushed my boys on the railing attempting to slide over that top rail. Dont slide over my dudes. Use that upper body strength.
Everything else is awesome. Im a 30 year old, 180 lbs male in a tiny apartment and its perfect for me. There is just enough room while on the bunk to not feel claustrophobic. I have 8 ft ceilings and a 10 inch mattress. A couch fit underneath after I removed the arms off the couch. It was very difficult to find a full sized couch that would fit under this thing. It fits perfectly in my apartment and made the room feel bigger. Climbing on the top bunk is still fun too. I feel like a kid in a fort or something. Its sturdy for me. I cranked those screws down really tight and I havent had squeaks yet. It barely moves with the couch pinning it in place.
Solid buy. Solid 4 out of 5. Im still contemplating taking out my angle grinder and just hacking an entrance in the end of this thing. Otherwise I love it. Seriously tho, buy the pool noodles.
Much easier to put together than I thought it would be and was able to dimensionally fit over a queen-size bed. It only took a couple of hours total and the instructions were clear and concise. All hardware was supplied. Once up it was very sturdy- very pleased with the product. This was a lifesaver with my college student coming home from college due to the quarantine to maximize space so my kids dont lose it on each other having to share space.
Im really pleased with this bed. I was so worried because the box arrived in terrible shape. It was bulging in several places and the styrofoam was sticking out of the box. There were literally footprints all over it. I unpackaged it and the contents were in perfect shape. I assembled it by myself, which I dont recommend, but it was possible. I just turned it on its side, instead of upside down, for the last few steps.
The only downside for me, is that it is really only built for a 7 mattress. Mine is 8. I ordered a bed rail because I just know daredevil will find a way to hurt herself.
Oh yeah, dont forget to think about your ceiling fan clearance. I did not and now Im stuck trying to replace it with a smaller fan because I am not returning this fully assembled bed.

Very sturdy, great for 7 mattress and smaller, dont forget to check your ceiling fan distance!
