These bunk beds with stairs are well designed and fairly straightforward to assemble. The packaging is excellent and organized according to assembly. We were extremely pleased with the look (the paint job looks high end) and the stability of the beds. They are solid! We researched and considered many many options of bunk beds and could not be happier with these. I would recommend the company add a small bottle of touch-up paint in the future. There were a few little nicks in the paint, but nothing terribly significant. Still, it would be nice to be able to touch it up.
When researching for a low bunk bed, I wanted one with stairs so my child could be safer while climbing rather than using a ladder. Though this bunk bed was on the more expensive side, I took a chance even with all the bad reviews saying it’s hard to put together and some parts came damaged. After receiving the bunk bed and putting to together, I would agree that many reviews here are truthful. There are no words to help with the instructions, but if you’re detailed oriented, it’s not hard to follow. The hardest part of the install is when you need to not tighten the screws all the way, the manual says 80% tightened, but really it should be 50% tightened or you risk scratching your bed posts with the wood inserts. Other than that, the wood pieces come not perfect and there are scratches and dents here and there. But overall it is sturdy enough for a child, though I would not try to sleep on the top bunk as an adult. I am satisfied overall, and it is a cool bed so I still gave it 5 stars if you can overlook that instructions are not the best and wood is not perfect. Buy it if you are looking for a low bunk bed with stairs.
Very nice unit and working well for the grandkids. Sturdy, well made, nice finish, and very safe.Set-up is pretty straight-forward even though it takes a bit of time. Having two people working together made things a lot easier. We love it!
This bed is really nice. We bought for our 2 kids because #3 is on the way. Step by step instructions were easy to follow. Less than a day to assemble. Arrived with one broken part, contacted bed kingz and had a new piece in 4 days. Exceptional customer service.
I totally love this bed for my 3 year old son. Highly recommend this to be a 2 or 3 person job. I did it alone and took 5 hours to complete. My order came in 3 boxes and the medium sized box weighted the most. Tools provided worked alright and you do get a few extra pieces as far as screws and nails go.
The hardest and most time consuming part of the build were the steps!!! The directions are easy to follow until you get to which side of the bed you want the steps to go on. I flipped one board wrong (picture in directions didn't provide clarity) and ended up taking the steps apart to correct.
The bed is super sturdy and a pretty color. Did have a strong smell but wiping the bed down did mitigate that. We have a twin bed with pillowtop about 7 inches thick and still have alot of rail left (at least 8 inches) for saftey. Overall I'm completely satisfied with the purchase and my son loves his big boy bed.
Very happy with this purchase we looked at a similar item on Pottery Barn for $2,600 and am soooo glad we found this bunk bed instead!!
Bed arrived promptly in six boxes and in good shape. Assembly was pretty simple and directions easy to follow. I do recommend paying close attention to the specific parts in the diagrams. All the pre-drilled holes and dowels fit perfectly and were well-aligned. This took about six hours to assemble over three evenings, so don't be in a rush.
The bed itself is very sturdy and made of all solid wood. The painted finish was smooth and without defects.
For mattresses we ordered an 8" memory foam twin and full by Simmons from Costco--by far the best price on these mattresses when on sale. For the trundle we ordered Classic Brands Cool Gel Memory Foam 6" Mattress from . Very happy with every mattress ordered. They fit this bed perfectly.
We would buy this bed again. Very happy and our expectations were exceeded.
This is an extremely sturdy bed. Most of the structural pieces are actual wood. It's sturdy enough for an adult to climb the stairs and get into it. The seller over sold the stair version so they sent us the ladder for free until the stairs came in. They were extremely helpful and quick to correct their error.

Works as designed, but not perfect.

Takes 2 people to built it. But it’s super solid and well made!
Good!
Very good! Sturdy ! The only thing is the wheels for the 3rd slide out bed broke off. So we have to get a new little wheel.
Wonderful product, however, Many hands make light work!!!!
