I dont write reviews, but my 5 year daughter bgot this new bed (new room) for Christmas and I have to say she loooooved the bed....She literally finds a reason to go down the slide.....Putting it together was pretty easy and the bed is sturdy.. Great purchase!!!!
The bed is good, the construction is sturdy, the product in general is good, the reason I give it 3 stars is because it is full of dangerous edges and metal parts. When I bought it, I did it believing the slide was made out of plastic, but it is all metal, with 4 metal bars underneath it, these bars (and the sides of the bed too) are squared and are extremely pointy. The very first day I assembled it and my 4yo started playing with it, he suffered an injury cutting his head open with a lot of blood in the back of his head. So, now I need to figure out a way to child-proof this thing (thats supposed to be for children). At least, it should come with round edges.
If you are planning on buying this bed, also consider buying something like this (this one is the one I purchased)
My kid loves this bed. It was well worth the price! Which the price wasnt bad at all. My only complaint is the slide is squeaky when using it but its expected really.
I purchased this new bed only to find out it had clearly been used. It is full of scratches, dents, and missing multiple pieces of hardware. I would return it but it is outside of the return window (took us a while to get around to getting it together)
I am so happy I bought this for my daughter! Shes 2 1/2 and my son is 6, and they both move around easily on the ladder, bed, and slide. My daughter is tall and I have no worries about her being up there at all. I bought a 6 inch mattress so that the guard rail would provide enough protection. Some customers complained about unlabeled parts and shoddy packaging, but I bought mine new from so I wonder if that made a difference. Everything was professionally packaged and labeled. The most important advice I can give is do NOT tighten the screws until the very end, after the ladder is attached. Id read that on a review and was quickly reminded after having to go back and loosen screws a few times. I would absolutely purchase this again!
The only con to this set is that the ladder and slide cannot swap sides. Otherwise, this is a great set and my 3 year old absolutely loves it. So far, after a month of him putting it to the standard boy test, this bed hasnt shown any signs of wear or weakness, yet.
My son is so happy with his new bed. It was easy to assemble with good instruction. No missing pieces and its very sturdy. The twin size mattress is not a snug fit which I was assuming it would fit like. The only improvement I can see so far is that it would be awesome if you could interchange the slide and ladder. They have to go on certain sides, the slide on the left and the ladder on the right. We had to flop his whole room around so the slide wasnt extended into the middle of the room. When hes a bit bigger and is too cool for a slide we can just take it off and he can have the loft bed.
The excitement of this bed made the transition from his small bed to this larger bed very easy and fun. ALSO I enjoy having the leverage of the slide when my child isnt listening at bedtime or getting out of bed. I just threaten to take the slide off and he straightens right up!
I recently purchased this for my 4 year old son. He is obsessed! Its nice because its not as tall as other bunk beds, so Im not overly worried about him falling. Even though its not as tall as other loft beds, theres still enough room underneath for him to play. He cant stand underneath, but can happily play seated with enough room to move around. The slide is super fun. Just make sure you have enough room in their bedroom. It takes up more room than I had envisioned. Great quality and easy to assemble. My husband put it together all by himself pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend this bed!
Bed did not last a year and the side rail broke off (the rail on the side the slide is). There is not really a way to fix it. My kiddo is very upset his bed is broken. I am upset that I did not even get a years use out of this bed.

Broken rail
Bed did not last a year and the side rail broke off (the rail on the side the slide is). There is not really a way to fix it. My kiddo is very upset his bed is broken. I am upset that I did not even get a years use out of this bed.
