Go for it! I got this mattress foundation to go on my antique cast iron bed under a new mattress. I dont have the new mattress yet, but I put the foundation together today to make sure itd work with my bed. Im submitting a review because of the ease of assembling this item. It was well packaged, had excellent easy to follow instructions, and was so well made that everything almost glided together. So easy, so sturdy!
Enough strength. This worked perfectly as a replacement for the bunkie board that was on the bed. It got the mattress up high enough that I can make the bed without a struggle, but not so high that its hard to get into the bed. Good and sturdy and easy to put together!
Easy to fix. Ive had this foundation for about a month now and Im happy with it. My mattress has a requirement that the slots are not too far apart or else the warranty will be voided, and this one fits the bill. This foundation doesnt slide around or make any sorts of noises and I really feel like my hybrid mattress has enough support. When I got this, it was unassembled and I had my roommate help me carry the box upstairs because its pretty heavy. From there, I assembled everything by myself and had no problems. The instructions were very clear and it was all easy. I think the entire process took me about half an hour. I know one of the reviews Id read for this brand said that the ratchet is trash and to get another one. I didnt experience that issue and it worked perfectly fine for assembling everything. Another one mentioned the slots that run across the top did not stay in place. Again, I had no issues here. Each slot snapped in easily and stayed in place while I flipped the foundation over to zip the cover around it. The cover is snug, but I was able to get it on by myself. I did need help actually putting the foundation on my bed frame and thats where my one worry comes in: this foundation is really quite heavy. I sometimes worry that the frame will not be able to support the foundation, my 150lb mattress, myself, and my partner. My frame hasnt shown any signs of wear, but I do make a habit of checking the support boards under the foundation periodically. This is probably just me being paranoid, but I wouldnt trust this thing on a cheap bed frame. Overall, Im happy with my purchase and Id recommend it.
Very good. Great quality box spring, but unhappy with the zipper cover because it broke! Very cheap quality cover but we kept it because the actual box spring itself is good quality and great to sleep on with our mattress.

Interesting. Arrived in a very heavy package. Pretty easy to put together, took under an hour. The construction seems solid, however despite tightening all the parts, it does make noises when pressure is put on the bed / for example, if I roll over during the night, or sit up in the morning, it makes clunky sounds. I dont know how to fix this issue, and it is disruptive to getting rest. Im disappointed, as its otherwise a good product, but I hesitate to recommend it and wouldnt buy it again.
Great for small spaces. I highly recommend this product. It was very easy to assemble. I am an older, single woman and needed the 4/inch profile box spring. My mattress was too high for a new bed that I purchased. It was convenient to have it delivered without me having to be at home. It was easy for me to get the parts up the stairs by myself. It was easy to assemble. It is sturdy and there are no squeaks or creaks. It came with a ratchet tool which was very much appreciated. It was a little challenging to get the fabric cover on. It is nice and snug, but I did it all alone without any help. A second set of hands probably would have been helpful for that part, but even so, I highly recommend this box spring.

Low Profile Mattress Foundagtion
