Now when it comes have help on hand. It is an extremely heavy box and my poor UPS guy was hurting bringing this in to my home. It is a long box. We got it upstairs with little difficulty.
The directions are EASY but you must read through everything first. Trust me it is worth the time to read through it.

This is essentially a platform bed with headboard and footboard. The first first of a slat bed which I have is the ones which I bought from Ikea which ripped apart in a few months, but this one is way ahead of Ikea quality / the slats are stronger, thicker and spaced closed.
Once you put together the bed, you will hardly notice that you are on a slat bed / feels like it is a strong platform underneath of this.
Installation: It takes about 60/90 mins to put this bed, One person could do most of the installation, but I would suggest having one extra person for the part where you piece together the side rails, headboard and footboard.
Overall / enjoying this bed for the last 2 weeks and it looks really good in the bedroom, sturdy and was easy to install

It includes the required allen wrench and pictorial directions.although I am not a big fan of polyester upholstery, overall the bed looked and felt more expensive that it is. The rather traditional style should blend with most decors. It has a nice sturdy feel and provides plenty of support. It comes with a five year limited warranty.
Let me start by saying I have opened 2 platform boxes, and have learned that if you open them while they are standing on their side make sure you wear sturdy steel topped boots, because there is a small box filled with metal supports that will do its best to fall out onto your toes.
I am very happy to rate this 5 stars. I used it with a 10 inch foam mattress and there was absolutely no reason to use a box spring. The wooden slats are only 2.5 inches apart and provide ample support for any mattress, so the savings on a box spring alone make this platform purchase a no brainer.
Assembly was easy and only took 33 minutes once it was out of the box. Directions were fine, but they were only pictures so a little brain power is needed. Guys wont notice since we dont need directions...
As with other frames there is no ridge around the outside to stop the mattress from sliding around, but since there is no box spring, the mattress itself is not inclined to slide anyway. If you do, for some reason use a box spring, you should expect to have to realign it after making the bed.
There is about 6 of clearance under the bed for storing things or placing one of those handy under the bed drawers. A 10 mattress should cover the gap between headboard and frame. The fabric is nice and seems like it will last much longer than the vinyl covering on the headboard found in other platforms. And the wooden slats are great because they dont squeak at all.
Overall I found this platform to be everything it was advertised to be and the construction much better than expected. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.
If your opinion of this bed is colored by a previous experience with furniture that you assembled yourself, toss it away and be prepared to be thrilled. Everything about the bed and its design and construction is top of the line. When you complete the simple, straight/forward assembly process and put your mattress on it for the first time you will be more than pleased. The upholstery is top/notch; the material is a beautiful gray that will blend with any décor and its finish is outstanding. The seams and button placement are perfect and there are no hanging threads or errant fabric. The padded sideboards and footboard give it an air of class that I love in our bedroom.
If you have been hesitant to give up your box spring in favor of a platform bed, have no fear. The slats and bed frame combine to support the mattress perfectly. One of the nice details of this design is that the wood slats are bound together by a strip of Velcro. This fastens to its mate on the frame so that these slats will never slide around not matter how much sliding around you do. Doing away with the box spring also has the benefit of lowering todays thicker mattress designs to make getting into and out of the bed much easier.
The assembly process was aided by the precision with which the bed is built. All the holes and set bolts fit their mates perfectly. Two suggestions for you to keep in mind. Buy a hex bit for your ratchet set as it will be much, much easier to assemble the bed than using the included L/shaped wrench to turn the screws. The second suggestion is even more important: dont overtighten the screws when installing them and risk pulling out the installed fasteners. Sweet dreams.

It came in one big box with all the components nicely protected and organized inside. To assemble it the only tool required is the Allen wrench that comes with it. It took me about 20 minutes to assemble it.

makes a classic looking bed so affordable! Why anyone would go into a B&M store and pay a fortune for a bed frame these days is beyond me, but I know people still want the bedroom suites where everything matches and weighs a ton and is really difficult to move around for cleaning.
That being said, gives us as consumers terrific options with their bed frames. They are delivered securely boxed, usually double boxed and the set up is really pretty easy. Most UPS or Fed Ex drivers will at least shove the box through a front door which is great because depending upon the size of the bed frame they are really heavy. The box can be opened in that room and parts taken into the bedroom if there is just one person doing it. Everything fits together nicely and the end result is a beautiful, expensive looking, classy bed.
We needed a queen size in a dark color and we are very pleased with this style. It is really nice! Our queen size mattress is a Serta gel/memory foam style with a box spring and I am so glad to get rid of that box spring! The mattress fits perfectly on top of this bed frame with no movement at all.
We have cats who have a lot of their own carpeted cat furniture, but anything new attracts them and that happened with this bed frame. Not so much the headboard, but the frame surrounding the mattress. Problem solved with an over/sized comforter!

Purchased this after reading the reviews on how easy it is to assemble once some heavy lifters get it into the room. Love the space under the bed, the clean look and the quality. Couldnt be happier. Highly recommend it. I put discs under the legs since we will be finishing the baseboards and replacing the carpet...
I put this together by myself; the hardest part was carrying the headboard in from the garage, its heavy! Assembly was straightforward and simple. The bed is great looking and incredibly sturdy. So happy with this.
