For the money these (bought two) were a real value. I cut them down for a custom application and was able to resize without much of an effort. Materials are very good / the finish is as shown and the wood is solid, not MDF or other composite. Instructions were easy to follow. It was helpful to have a power drill to use rather than the supplied wrench.
It looks great (warm minimalist chic), was easy to assemble, and can take a bit of action. The pine is actually lightly stained / a bit darker than natural pine.
Overall I like this bed. It is a good height and feels sturdy. The one problem Ive had is that the posts in the middle of the sides seem to get loose/wobbly so we have to keep tightening them.

A few of the pieces came with minor scratches/scars you had to be loo for them to find them, but still it would be better to have none at all on a new product. This didnt seem to be due to poor packaging or rough handling, because there was no obvious sign of either. Anyway, the price was GREAT, the product strong and attractive, the assembly hassle/free// just one tool for just one person.
