This bed is great, but if you have a young one that will be using it, they may be scared to get down like mine was. I tested it myself and would have to agree the ladder can be cumbersome to use.
I considered buying the foam rollers to cover the rungs of the ladder, but decided on an attachment stair case. Not sure if I can mention the brand, so wont but it was not cheap. It was well worth it though as not only did it allow for easy access, but additionally stabilized the bed if someone larger wanted to get up there like myself (58 185 lbs.)
I still give it 5 stars, because Im sure most kids 10+ will be fine. My 5 and 7 year olds who split time up there just needed the extra help.
There was a problem with the shipping co. I emailed to let them know I never received the bed and got fantastic customer service. They sent us another bed frame quickly. The bed is sturdy and exactly as stated. Instructions were easy to follow and all parts were included. I have a happy child!! its very nice and I love the color. Worth it

Great bed frame! The assembly took longer then I expected but worth it. The frame is tall so make sure to measure the higher first. Her tv with the stand fit nicely underneath! Overall great product. comfortable and stylish product.
Me and my wife got this and I weigh 216 and she weighs about 160 and our dog weighs 50 and it holds pretty nice. It rocks a little bit but I screwed and some holders to press it against the wall and it hasnt fallen yet so all and all good product Seems sturdy enough
Our middle school aged boys are growing like weeds, so we had to upgrade their beds and didnt want to buy twins again since they will both likely be tall. We found this full/sized loft bunk bed for each of their rooms, which allows a more spacious feel. We assembled both the same night, the first one took a bit longer as we navigated through the instructions but the second was a breeze. One word of advice, pay attention to the positioning of the holes as youre assembling. We had to re/do a couple steps our first time around because the instructions were not clear with this. Also, I knew from other reviews the ladder steps would be tough on their feet. We went to Lowes and got 1/2 inch self/adhering foam pipe insulation (they look kind of like pool noodles). This made a big improvement on the ladder for them. its worth it to me!
