Thank you so much. I found this to be great value for the price. It is made from solid wood rather than particle board. It will take a bit of time to assemble. I managed in about 3 hours, but if you are not very handy you might set aside all day. Also, be aware that it will arrive in two separate boxes and not necessarily on the same day.
Ordered the honey colored to match the other honey colored furniture and now we have three different shades of honey, probably not the fault of the bed manufacturer, but something to keep in mind.
Very functional. The packaging is good. Very few dings and scratches, nothing major. The load bearing components are solid wood ( not single pieces / I could see the zig zag patterns of wood joinery at many places). I think they are rubber wood with the finish you order ( I got oak). The sides and bottom of the drawers, the top of drawer chest and the covering for footboard are MDF The Hardware screws/bolts are pretty sturdy / but no extras except for a couple of wooden small screws. The bolts/screws are neatly packaged in numbered bags. If you can, open packaging in garage or outside to avoid the styrofoam bits spreading around the home. The sliding components could have been better / cheap plastic and some sheet . Assembly was time consuming ( because of the 6 drawers), but the main frame was a breeze. The fitting after full assembly is very good.
I got this for 3 year old, but the bed sits pretty high / the first thing she did was use the drawer fronts as steps to climb the bed Repeated usage like that might damage the drawers / I plan to push the drawer chest atleast 3 inches inside to discourage the kid from climbing on the drawers.
The kid jumped on the bed and there were no creaking sounds. The slats are plywood planks / looked strong with a good flex.
Overall, pretty good for the money. There is formaldehyde emission certification in case you are worried about buying for kids room. My main concern is the width and thickness of the side plank / will update if anything breaks with an active 3 year olds usage. Overall, good buy.
Super. I just recieved and put them together. We will see how they hold up. I have two boys 10 and 6. The instructions were easy enough to follow and get them put together. The quality of the wood is what you pay for. Not the best, but what do you expect at this price?
Great price and somewhat durable. To start.not the highest quality wood.but you are not paying for solid wood. The design was exceptional!!!! The instructions were the best I have had in years!!!! You are really purchasing two items. One is a bed and the second is a drawer module that holds the 8 drawers. When put together the module fits perfectly under the bed. Building time was 3.5 hours.so expect to spend time on it. Everything fit together really well. The packaging was excellentnot one damaged item.
Looks nice and sturdy. It was a rough start. The bed had to be shipped twice due to being lost the first time. Second delivery was much faster and more efficient. The bed came with easy to follow instructions. The bed was shipped in two, heavy, but manageable boxes.
thanks great product. Got my sons bed in two boxes as stated however they came at the same time and not at different times which I was happy. It was very easy to put together and very good material. So far, the bed has been used for about a month now, Im getting my moneys worth.
Looks solid, easy to assemble. Bought 2 of these which arrived in good condition (a couple of dings which did not show once put together). The color was more orange than shown in the picture. This took me approximately 6 hours to put the 2 beds together not including the drawers. It would have quicker if all pieces had been marked with the letters used in the instructions. I could not figure out the drawers and know it would have taken me days just to put one set together. Thankfully my brother/in/law put them together and it took him about 4 hours to put the 2 sets together. I tried to put the twin mattresses from our old beds on these new beds but one was too large to fit and the other one snugly fit meaning it is a little more difficult to make the bed. This was for our nephews bedroom and he really liked the beds. It is adequate for a childs needs and would be fine in a guest room.
Perfect!! Overall, Im happy with the bed frame. However, I question the quality of wood (composite wood) and I expect it only to last about 1/3 years. The drawers are on a center mount slide which is generally easily broken.
