Its really not the studies, I had to pick up replacement pegs because a board fell out and snapped the peg. overall its a meh bedframe. Kid likes and thinks its great so I guess its worth the 3 stars.
I bought this bed to give our 5 year old more room to play in her small bedroom. Its perfect! I love how sleek and minimal it looks. It took my husband about 2.5 hours to assemble. We stuck some LED lights underneath plus a cubbie shelf from Target for more storage. Our kid absolutely loves it!
This is a really nice setup. While it is time consuming to build, it is intuitive. Its totally worth it, Im 240 lbs and can sit on the bed with both my kids and read. It is a standard twin, not an XL which is perfect for the kids, not so much for me. But it leaves plenty of space underneath for storage and activities.
The bed is worth the price. Note the price. I expect my toddler to rock this a few years and be over it. I will admit. The odor has me worried. Its a strong finish smell. Just the other day i could smell it in her hair which made me worry even more. Looking for diy odor reducers. I wish I knew what the finish is made of. ??
Directions were very easy to follow. Easiest to lay out pieces First that go together. Very sturdy and well constructed. Great for small spaces. Full mattress fit perfectly.
My handy husband assembled this in about 1.5 hours. A drill and a nicer Allen wrench is very helpful. We got it for our 2.5 year old daughter. I was a little nervous about a loft for a kiddo this young but one assembled its only about 30 inches off the ground. My daughter is really coordinated and has never fallen out of bed so Im comfortable with the height, plus it gives us some storage and a play area underneath. The bed is really sturdy (me, hubs, and daughter on it at the same time and super sturdy). We got the full so it can grow with her. Overall I highly recommemd!
Packaged beautifully, easy to assemble for this grandma by herself. Too low to put another child underneath- we tried. Weight limit said 165lbs but it creaked a bit too much with me on it and thats my wt exactly. Ladder is sturdy and comfortable for little feet. This for my 5 yo but my 3 yo has no trouble getting on the top bunk. I have an 8 mattress which I worried would be too tall( over the railings) but it is fine. If this holds up a year Ill probably buy a second one for my younger grandchild.
