Very sturdy and perfect height for my four year old. She loves this bed and there is so much space to put her toys underneath. It is absolutely perfect. Such fast delivery too! For people who are buying, beware this bed is extremely heavy, so make sure you are strong to carry it inside. I had to have my neighbor help me slide it in. For the assembly part, it was such a breeze, not hard at all.
We were looking for a bigger bed for our five year old daughter, and I stumbled across this one. We wanted something she could use now and in the near future, and thought the shorter loft option was pretty cool (and safer!). We had her pick from a few and she chose this one immediately.
Assembly wasnt terrible, and everything feels super sturdy. The top of the bed comes up to just under my armpit, and the top of her mattress comes up to my hip. I am 59, 155lbs, and have slept comfortably in the bed with her. Weve had it for about a month now and have no complaints. She uses the area underneath to read and play, and thoroughly enjoys her new big girl bed with the ladder. This bed has definitely exceeded our expectations!
I would not buy again. Bed split/cracked in 5 places while assembling (using bolts and wrench provided). Also, 2 bolts were not able to go in all the way, without stripping the bolt. After fully assembled it seems to be sturdy, but with the split wood I am unsure how long that will remain. The cracks are unsightly... I would return if it wouldnt take forever to disassemble, wrap up, and mail back something so heavy!!
Also, not the same exact one pictured came... similar but not the same. Particularly the ladder. I can see in the photos others have posted they received what I did, not what was pictured.
I have contacted the company in hopes of replacement parts or some sort of resolution. I can update after!
