Wow! First off i wasnt home so i had to pick it up from FedEx. Package says it weighs 120 lbs. So i figure no problem.....uhhh this bed was heavy lol really heavy. Needed help and luckily i had a uhaul as i had moved that day. But setup was fairly easy. Connect legs put in a clip and attach cord. Flip the bed and good to go!! I love the bed. My wife loves the bed. In fact its about 4:30 in the afternoon and she taking a nap now. Paired it with a queen size Casper mattress
Purchase, shipping, and delivery all went well. The head lift motor appears to have been incorrectly assembled from the factory. There is a guide bushing coming out the housing to keep the lift rod centered. That bushing is supposed to be riveted in place, but mine is not, so the bushing slides out and the lift rod rubs on the housing. It then jams up on the bushing when you try to lay flat and either wont go flat or breaks part of the bushing off. Called manufacturer and they warrantied it, but motor is on backorder. I paid more for this bed than the other popular option on this site because this had brand name lift motors and a better warranty. Not pleased so far. I will update the review after my issue is resolved.
This adjustable bed frame is definitely worth the money!
After you purchase this item, even before you receive this product you receive an email letting you know who to contact if you have any questions or issues. Install was super easy. It comes with a booklet with page by page instructions and pictures on how to set it up, and it only took about 10 minutes to get the thing, hauled into the house, un-packaged, and installed! Once set up you just plug it in, put your mattress on top and your good to go. The remote has a little thing on the back so you can hook it to the side of your bed so it is not in the way. You can make your head or legs go up or down. It is super awesome being able to raise your head and read. I also never knew how much more comfortable it can be with your legs and head raised slightly. This bed frame is metal but does not make noise when you move like some of the other metal bed frames I have had. It is also pretty quiet moving up and down. I think it was an awesome investment!
This adjustable base has been great!
Comfort:
I love this adjustable frame for many reasons but the main reason is the relief it gives to both my lower back and my acid reflux. By raising the legs just a little an immense amount of pressure is taken off of my lower back. I finally am getting a good nights rest without a stiff back in the morning. I also deal with acid reflux at night and being able to elevate my head has really relieved that issue a great deal for me.The adjustable frame has taken a comfortable mattress and made it that much better.
Set-up:
The frame comes in a reasonably sized box with the frame folded over itself. You simply take the frame out of the box, screw in six metal legs, attach two clearly marked cables and then flip the frame. From there, the adjustable frame just needs plugged in with a mattress on top.
Price:
One of the major selling points for me on this frame was the price point. This frame has so many of the features only found in products multiple times the price of this item.
Looks:
The frame has a clean look. After placing sheets and the mattress on top of the frame of course most of it is hidden. For me, only the legs show and they have a nice modern look that do not stand out in any way. Plus they are nice and rounded to avoid those sharp corners that we all stub our toes on.
Usability:
The remote is clearly marked with six easy to use buttons. There are different buttons that do a few different actions and combinations of actions. You simply hold the button until you are comfortable with both your legs and back. The motors are quiet and fast enough that it is not an annoyance to move up and down.
Things to Consider:
The frame is somewhat heavy, I dont consider this a con as the product is durable. You will most likely need one other person to help you set up. It took a friend and me just about fifteen minutes to have it completely set up but it would have been difficult without help. The other reminder I have is that you need a wall outlet nearby. There is plenty of cord to get to an outlet somewhat far away but ideally you would want something close to one side of the bed to make plugging in easy and more importantly safe.
All in all I cant stress enough how satisfied I am with my purchase. This frame is such a great combination of price, ease of use and comfort.
Very heavy, it took 4 people to get it set up and moved , other then that we love it its just what we was looking for and the under bed light is great for people on different work shifts I dont have to turn the overhead light on and wake my husband when I come in and go to bed
I was looking to replace our old setup. 40 year old hand me down box springs (with actual wobbly and squeaky springs inside)and 5 inch clearance bed frame. Even with 3 inch risers I needed more storage. I was stuck between this one and a plain platform bed frame. Im so happy I went with this one. First off- its huge and weighs like 120 lbs. being impatient and not wanting to wait for my husband I drug this in myself and put it together with only a bit of help from my 11 year old. The bed was made less than 45 minutes from the time UPS left my house. That includes clearing out the old frame and box springs. I managed to get all the stuff that was crammed under by old bed in about half the space. Another feature I didnt even consider was it helps my super loud snoring husband. Just raise the head and enjoy the quiet. I prefer a minimalist looking bed. This is exactly what I was looking for. Love watching tv with my head and feet inclined. Wish I would have done this years ago. And anyone concerned about the noise, its almost silent. I was honestly expecting some sort of roaring noise. Like hospital beds but I guess technology and engineering have come a long way since Ive stayed in the hospital.
My first adjustable base, very heavy. Im please so far. It functions exactly as advertised. When I was setting the base up, there was one strange thing wrong. The base wires were reversed so when you would use the remote to adjust head the feet would go up, so whom ever put the plugs in messed up.
I was impressed with how easy the set-up is on this adjustable frame. The actual motion of the bed is so smooth and quiet you dont realize your head and/or legs are being raised. There are different height adjustments, you just release the button when youre at the level you prefer. Another great feature was the brace at the bottom of the bed to keep the mattress from shifting. It looks like this company thought of everything when creating this bed frame!
A great purchase providing comfort when youre reading, relaxing or recuperating!
This great bed came right on time. The remote makes it easy for you to raise your head, legs or both at the same time. It will completely flatten with one button. It was important for me to purchase a Leggett Platt bed as they have a great reputation for building quality adjustable beds. The frame even holds 750 pounds which is perfect for two people. There are outlets for phones and tablets on both sides. The underlight bed is a bonus and the waves are off the chart. I am happy I purchased this bed.
