We were anxious about purchasing a power bed frame off without being able to see/test it first and especially because it cant be returned. The almost-unbelievably-low price is what made us pull the trigger. Long story short, this bed frame is legit and were so happy we pulled the trigger on it.
Our local mattress store was over $1,000 more for a powered frame with these features. Even a basic frame that just had head/foot movement was $650 more. Granted, buying from the local store meant having a return period and home installation. If youre unsure about buying a power mattress in general then I would definitely find a local store or friend who has one you can at least test first. Once youve decided on getting one, this is the route to go IMO. We had no intention of buying one with massage, USB ports, underbed lighting or any of those other extra features. But for this price, we couldnt resist.
Assembly was easier than I anticipated. Its very heavy and will require at least 2 strong people to do but its very simple. Took under 30 minutes.
Heres a quick rundown of our thoughts on the features:
Basic movement: Works just like it should and seems to have plenty of power. Motors arent silent but are quiet.
Massage: Its not so much massage as it is vibration. At its lowest setting its fairly quiet but at its medium or higher levels its pretty loud. Im sure that the thickness and material of your particular mattress is going to greatly impact how much of the vibration you actually feel. Were using this frame with an original Purple Mattress. The vibration can definitely be felt and I could see it helping someone fall asleep but thats about it.
Under lighting: My surprise favorite extra feature. Its the perfect nightlight. I love having it.
USB: This is a neat option but the ports are located near the middle of the bed. This is an odd placement for them because the cords will potentially be in your way when you get in and out of bed. If youre using this frame inside an existing frame then I cant see how these would be useable. It would make way more sense for them to be under the bed and near the head.
Snore Relief: Its very possible this works but unless someone is awake to push the snore button on the remote, its useless. And if someone is awake, then its already useless. So this is really useless.
Remote: Excellent. Its backlit which is great, simple to use, and even has a built in flashlight which is nice.
Ultimately, were very pleased with this bed frame for the price and highky recommend it.
For the price this is top notch. I bought 2 xls to make a split king and paired them with brand new xl Mint matresses from Tuft and Needle. I have literally not slept this well in years! The zero G setting is great. And the head will rise up into almost full right angle. The massage is a little weak and the thicker the matressess are the weaker it will be. Still it is good enough that we use it every night. Having researched adjustable bases and matresses for over 6 months this paired with tuft and needle was the best price ans value with all the bells and whistles I needed. Most sets I looked at would run between 6 to 10k and I just couldnt afford that but with this set and Tuft and Needle matresses I got a great setup for just under 3k. Now I have only had the bases for a month so we will have to see how they hold up over time of course, but with a leggplat motor I am expecting good things.
Its okay. Not nearly as life changing as I thought it would be. The headboard kit sent me (which I ordered and paid for separately, and they never suggested I might want despite multiple phone and online chats with their reps) was completely useless. It cant be the correct one for this bed. I was, however, able to connect to my headboard using my existing frame and sitting the adjustable base inside that frame. The most annoying thing I find so far is how far you are from your nightstand when you put the head up. If anyone has found a solution for this please share! It seems like such an easily solvable problem using various methods but alas I have not found one that truly works. Also, just be aware you can not use a bed skirt with this without loosing the functionality of the USB ports and under bed light (and the UBL is only on the front of the bed, not all the way around as on some other models).
Ive had the bed for almost a month now and I am extremely pleased with it. It seems to be well constructed and was easy to assemble. My only regret is that I waited so long to purchase it. From what Ive read its made by Leggett Platt and thats who you call for customer service. This is the first adjustable bed Ive had so I have nothing to compare against but as I said before Im very happy with it.
The queen size bed is much shorter than the usual 80 length. My mattress that is 80 is much bigger than the bed itself.
Just a note - the bed is not bad but the Star is for overall review and I think form factor (size) is one of the most important parameters of a product.
we bought this from the manufacturers website with free shipping and no taxes during a time it was out of stock on . it is wonderful! it does everything it is described to do, including massage and underbed ( at the foot of the bed) nightlight. the illuminated remote makes it handy too, along with its not too bright flashlight. we love it. we have a tuft needle mattress on it and it is even more comfortable on this frame it was in a box spring.
I finally got my bed together. First thing if you get a king and need it on the second floor goodluck. I had to hire movers to take it up. Of course my bed was 3 weeks late and nobody could tell where it was. Then ifinally get the bed out and the motor thAt lifts the upper body is shredded. Now i have to wait weeks to use my bed. I love the massager but if you have someone living under you the complaints will be coming. My first time using it i get called about the lound noise. So i paid for a bed to charger my phone. Really disappointed with my bed and the company. By the way the bed does not come in 2 parts like it said. It takes about and hour to put it together

Meh. Not sure its worth it

Good Adjustable Base
Works very well once assembled properly. It would have been a 5 star, but the instructions are very misleading.
Really disappointed by the company and the bed.

Happy customer
Works great, easy setup and quiet operation. I have 2 setup in king setup but need to add something to keep the mattress from separating.
It will be great when I have time to adjust it
I am having trouble setting the bed up. I cant get the head to raise. I am sure it is operator error. It will be great when I have time to adjust it.
