I would like to recommend this to my family and friends. Great product for back pain relief. Price wise affordable compare to other manufacturers. Love it…
My 84 year old mom put this frame together while I went to get groceries. She was told to leave it til I got back but she slid the box in her room, took her time and assembled it. Mind you she has dementia and alzheimers but this kept her occupied til I got home an hour later.
Preliminary: This review is for the L100 adjustable bed:
Delivery:
I dont know if being a Prime member had anything to do with it but It arrived two weeks sooner than indicated and 1 day after the Full size mattress arrived - a great coincidence that allowed me to unseal the mattress and assemble the frame and test it. Packaging of the frame was adequate and there was no physical damage. The frame comes 99% pre-assembled and folded up.
Instructions:
The bed comes with very decent well-printed and easy to read instruction booklet explaining exactly what to do and when to do it. The frame is rather heavy and the manual recommends two people to work on its assembly. Im a guy of modest height, weight and average strength and I was able to assemble it completely alone; though the frame is heavy its not unwieldy, and if you follow the instructions you can also assemble it yourself. But having a 2nd person cant hurt, so if you have another person available it can make things a bit easier.
Miscellaneous Parts:
There are a number of parts, such as the 6 legs and the mattress support at the foot of the mattress that have to be added which are super-simple to do. All parts come well packaged in two separate boxes that are attached to the frame with flexible wire that is very easy to remove. The motors, there are two, one for the head raise/lower and for the foot raise/lower, come pre-mounted to the frame and already wired. All that needs to be done is connect the power cord to the power-brick and the brick to the motor assembly and then attach the wired remote control. The connection of the remote control cord to the motor assembly uses a DIN connector and it is a bit tricky to properly insert; but the DIN connector is keyed so you cant insert it wrongly. Once its in and locked into place it will not slip out ever.
Testing the Adjustable Frame:
After wiring everything up and plugging the power cord into 110-120v AC, the motors worked flawlessly to raise/lower either the head or foot parts of the frame. The remote allows you to raise/lower both the head and feet simultaneously, or each section individually - a really nice feature. The motors seem to make absolutely no perceptible noise I can detect, even in a quite room.
Construction Quality:
I was impressed with the construction quality: 6 solid 2 legs and a thick solid steel frame construction. Motors were also high quality and totally silent. The part of the frame the raises/lowers where the mattress lays on is webbed and made of very heavy gauge steel, not like to break ever. Hardware parts of the frame appear to be high quality as well. Overall, a very well-made and solid frame that should last a lifetime.
Operation:
The mattress is now on top of the frame and completing its 48 hrs. acclimation period. I will update this review after the bed has been used. But so far its a very impressive bed frame that works and is reasonably priced.
Actual Use Experience:
Check back in a couple of weeks for my update on actual use.
I am just thrilled with this bed frame! The box is heavy so have help carrying it - save your back. The frame seems to be very well made. Once unboxed, it was super easy to put together - unfold it, screw on the legs, plug in the remote and motors. Simple!!! The lift motors are quiet. The remote has a handy hook across the back so it can be hooked onto something when it is not being used. I couldnt be happier!
Bed was great for few months, but then the bed started making Cracking sounds and found the bed was bending when lifting the head portion. The support bar for the motor is not holding up and starting missaligning with the base board. Head function no longer works correctly. The vibration portion doesnt always work. We liked it when it did work, but now its pretty much a normal bed frame.
