This is a new lower/end style of sofa (in this case, a loveseat) . The finished product looks great and feels pretty good. It is guaranteed to hold 250lbs per seat, and it feels sturdy. The cushion covers (aka the upholstery) are just as pictured and are a nice quality fabric. It is a pleasure to touch them and rub your fingers over them. And assembly is only 20/30 minutes. Much easier than IKEA has been in the past, and the package includes throw pillows, which are nice.
This couch is mostly constructed of wood and wood products. This is a big plus over other furniture made by the same company but marketed differently. We received an Elle Decor sofa that was so badly damaged in transit that it had to be junked. That one had a frame made of metal, which was dented beyond repair. This one shipped better and the wood made aligning the holes for the thumb screws (yes, I know, an unfortunate moniker) much easier.
The pillows have to expand before you use it. Follow the suggestions and air them outside first. They smell a bit. But they are comfortable. Not as dense and comfortable as the Elle Decor sofa cushions, mind you. But fine.
Just a few notes. The legs are wooden and screw in to the frame. That is a plus. They are solid chunks and provide for a lot of support of the loveseat. However, they have small plastic circles on the bottom of each leg. This makes the loveseat slide around. Removing them with pliers is a good idea and replacing them with foam pads or the like. We did this in about 5 minutes.
Aligning the thumb screws to put the pieces together is the most frustrating part of the assembly. You need to know this going in so that you do not force the pieces too hard. Just have another person push on the arm pieces or the back slightly and move it slowly until the holes align. Also, pay attention to the diagram (the instructions are helpful and clear) as it is easy to put something in backwards. The bottom of the sofa slides into the arm pieces (not the other way around). This last piece of info would have helped a bit.
Overall, the loveseat looks good and the label is fitting. The springs on the bottom of the sofa do seem like they will hold up.
For its price point, this is a good choice.
Upon picking up the package it was small enough that I could easily fit it in the back of our car. The actual package itself was only about 100lbs. It was fairly easy to assemble, took about 35 minutes. Everything was very compact as far as packaging. This sofa is good for the cost. The only CON that stands out are the the back cushions are very plump and the seat cushions are not very large. It almost makes me feel like I am being pushed off the couch by the cushions. I am fairly short 54 and would say this is a good couch for smaller individuals. If you are tall or on the large size you may want to avoid this. Good sofa for the cost and very easy to move.
Was pretty easy to put together by myself although some of the holes you had to line up in order to screw together were a bit off and made it really annoying to figure out how to line them up right Good couch for something off , probably not for super long term use, you sink into the middle when sitting down.
This is a comfy and attractive piece of furniture. Made by , you know the cushions will be comfortable (and they are), and the plush coverings feel nice. The back is just big enough to provide support when watching tv or reading, and the size is decent, if with two people. It comes as shown, with the two throw pillows. We had to assemble it upon arrival, however, but with my daughter (youll need two people), it took us less than a half hour, even with drawing/only instructions that were a bit less than supremely helpful.
Time will tell on the durability, but so far, this is a really nice addition to our living room and I feel the price point is pretty representative of such items. This will come in handy for guests and family when they visit and we look forward to years of use. One last thing / Id recommend finding a good ottoman for it.
Fits well in my space. It feels expensive and hefty without breaking the bank. The corduroy feels nice and is well/executed. The 78 length is comfortable for me to lay down on as a tall person, but dont count on fitting two people laying comfortably.
This loveseat was relatively easy to assemble; it took about 30 minutes. The instructions could be more clear (they label parts F1 or A2, but the parts themselves are not marked, so they might as well have used regular words like bolt. also designed and packed it cleverly, so that it arrives in a box that is the size of a tallboy dresser.
I like that it comes with the 2 pillows pictured. Its also a nice touch the legs already have small sliders/padding on the bottom to protect your floors/carpets. The Essex Tan color that I got is an inoffensive neutral, but Id get the gray color if I was ordering again.
There was a bolt hole in the back frame (which really is partly hardwood) that arrived stripped. So far, this hasnt affected structure, but it makes me a little concerned about the finishing/construction.
On a more subjective note, the cushions are too squishy/soft for my taste. If Im sitting on it trying to read, my back aches after 10 minutes or so from the lack of support. But your mileage may vary, because Im someone who likes firmer mattresses (instead of pillowtop) and harder couches like IKEAs Klippan, for example.
This is not for the faint of heart and due to broken staples, I recommend building this with gloves. The sofa comes all apart, flattened cushions inside the framework of the back etc. The box came highly damaged and repaired in the shipping place and it was dumped in our driveway before I had woken up in the morning, we think about 6:45. This was a concern as in my neighborhood, it could have been stolen before I found it. The damage ended up only being what we think were forklift rips in the bottom of the couch and one cushion in its compressed state had been punctured and decompressed. Luckily little enough damage as its still functional and the looks are good. The directions are okay, not easy, not hard. A little misunderstanding was corrected and all is well. This is heavy and probably done better with two people. The quality is good for the price, the cushions feel like they can take some wear before breaking down. The wood feels solid, little things like zippers hide away, all decent quality. The covering material is soft with a velvet feel, but its not velvet, so wont wear like velvet.
So, if you are up to building a sofa, I think its a good buy.

Good loveseat, better than IKEA. The new do/it/yourself line of furniture.

Not bad for an couch

loveseat is easy to assemble but cushioning is squishy soft (a minus for me, but possibly a plus for others)
