Beautiful fabric, well built. Has a safety mechanism on the closing mechanism so that little fingers cant get pinched. Which is fitting since this is being used in a nursery. Also love that I can store or hide toys in it.
I wanted this ottoman to store my cords plugged into my router and some other internet based components so they were not seen and a mess. I havent tried sitting on it or propping up my feet. I like the color and it works well with me decor.
Moved to a smaller home with a smaller office so needed to ditch the big furniture. The color (green) is almost an identical match and this ottoman is wonderful! Very sturdy. The top is cushioned enough to sit comfortable if you need an extra sitting space, but also firm enough that it works as a sort of coffee table too. I put my work papers on it and have a tray for my coffee cup). LOVE this purchase. The storage is an added bonus and theres a little tab to pull the lid open. The hinges are good, the legs are sturdy... I would definitely get this again.
This storage ottoman I ended up liking a bit more than I expected to! The packaging for it is simple, it arrived in a cardboard box, and other than some plastic inside the box, this ottoman is ready to go after you unpack it. Do take caution when opening the box, though! There is a warning about cutting into the box, keep this in mind, as the ottoman is packed snugly inside the box.
Unpacking the ottoman was easy, and after removing the lid from the ottoman there is a bit of a, “New odor, however after letting it sit for a few hours with the lid off, the odor dissipated. The ottoman is rigid, and feels built well. The lid fits easily onto the top of the ottoman and not too snugly, so the lid is easy to remove. The measurements for this ottoman are accurate, it’s about 18W x 13.5D x 16.5H.
The material feels nice, it’s velvet, and doesn’t feel thin. The velvet is a nice texture, and the color is as it appears in this listing, it’s a solid Emerald Green color. There is a slight bit of padding around the outside of the ottoman, but the top lid of the ottoman features much thicker padding. The listing here reads that this ottoman is rated to hold up to 250lbs, and that seems accurate.
I’ve sat on this ottoman a little bit, and it’s comfy enough, however I wouldn’t want to sit on it for too long, such as an hour or more. I am using this storage ottoman more as temporary seating, and also storage, not so much to prop my feet up, as the room it is located in has recliners, already. The inside storage is nice, and so far this ottoman is fulfilling it’s purpose as temporary/extra seating and storage, it also looks good while doing that!
I cant give this enough stars. Im simply in love with the line. I have a couple of items from and they are my absolute favorite pieces and this is no exception. It comes fully assembled in a medium sized box, not to heavy and not too large. The velvet teal upholstery is gorgeous and the gold accent is just the topping on the cake. Im keeping our throw blankets inside the storage area and I couldnt be happier with the purchase. Love this piece.
No doubt about it, this ottoman is not only beautiful, but provides plenty of storage. Unfortunately, it arrived damaged.
Not only is the gold scratched, but there are lines in the velvet that will not flatten out, as Im showing in the photograph. Im not as concerned about that because that is the nature of velvet and it may correct itself. However the scratches will need touch up paint.
Other than that, this is a lovely piece of furniture. It appears to be well made, and has a classic look.
The ottoman is a gorgeous shade of green. It’s very soft and a good size for our room. The hinges are very sturdy and great quality. Assembly was super easy as well, had it fully assembled within 10min. I only knocked down one star because the storage part of it is only the lower portion of it. The lid portion isn’t hollow so anything bigger than the base minus the lid area will not fit. Aside from that I love it!
