This bed was a nightmare to put together. I bought it based on the reviews saying it wasnt that hard to put together. I am pretty adept at putting together furniture at this point in my adult life, not perfect, but competent, but the instructions for this bed were horrible. Whoever wrote the instructions, seemed to start to slack off after about Step 2 so that I was left guessing after that, especially about the orientation of the boards. It would have been helpful if it was specified front back left right on the boards as I after securing the boards, I had to undo some of them and flip them and resecure them. Also, the tape that identified the boards wasnt the type that came off easy so I after removing it, there was a residue left over that didnt easily remove so I had to take extra time using Goo Gone to remove the residue. The instructions were so bad, that I wasnt able to put up the desk. I have no idea how that is supposed to stay on. The way that the instructions show it does not secure it properly and we are now just looking for a way to use brackets to secure it in our own way.
Another complaint I have is that some of the boards cracked when I was securing them. I wasnt even using super strength or anything- they just cracked as I was screwing the screws in. A few came scratched. Not a huge deal as my son is pretty rough so I didnt expect the bed to remain in pristine condition for long anyways, but annoying that they were already scratched.
The opening where the kid climbs in and out is a bit narrow. My kid is small so it isnt a big deal but I am not sure how a more heavyset kid would do with getting in and out of that area. Also the space under the bed is a bit low, which is great for an elementary school kid but maybe not great for a middle school or older kid.
Aside from those things- my kid loves his new bed. The area under is great for him to play. We put a plush rug and a comfy chair under there and he can read, play s, and do homework. The shelves are nice for toys, books, and some games. We got the full size and he was surprised by how big it was. He is a really restless sleeper and I was worried about him having enough room to toss and turn but it is plenty big enough for him to move all about when he sleeps and the rails keep him from falling out.
For the price it is a decent bed. I looked at a more expensive one but couldnt bring myself to pay that much for something I was afraid hed outgrow in a couple years. I feel like well get a couple years out of this, which is all I can really ask for.
I had a lot of issues with the bed itself. It was really light, cheap-feeling wood. It had a lot of damage when I got it. Building it wasnt easy at all because the measurements were off in certain areas. And it was not as sturdy as I thought it would be (even for a loft bed). HOWEVER, Im giving a high rating because their customer service was amazing! They were responsive and helped me get what I deserve, which is a refund. They were very understanding and seemed earnest. And communication was very smooth, clear, and straight to the point that we worked it out in about a day and a half to two days.
My autistic son LOVES ahis new bed! He can play video games in his desk space and with the bed lifted it gives him more play space. The assembly is a bit tedious and is a two man job. But the instructions are clear and doable.
Easy to put together, comfy and just as easy to disassemble when moving This bed was the easiest item I have ever put together!! Everything was labeled properly- even ALL the screws!!! I put it together by myself and had no problems- it was challenging because it would have been easier with two people at times but totally doable. The bed itself is well made and exactly what I ordered. I would refer this company to anyone!
This is a very nice, easy to put together sectional for a small space This is a great bed and space saver. My daughter loved it. Assembly was a bit time consuming but not overly difficult. The construction is solid with quality wood pieces. I dont know why some people say its wobbly or not stable, just make sure and re-tighten all of your screws after fully assembling and staggering which screws you tighten.
Perfect for a small apartment space. My daughter loved the loft bed, it helps save room space and the integrated shelves color is great.
Its not very sturdy its a bit expensive for the material and I would have liked a drawer or two.
Customer support from this company was exceptional. I ordered this bed for my 7yo. She loves it! She uses the desk area everyday. It is actually very sturdy. I crawled up on the bed and it held me with no issues and very little wobble (Im 130lbs). It took a little over 2hrs for my husband and I to put it together. Its a good quality bed. My only complaint is that the shelf in the middle above the desk is not very strong (I think its because of the length). We tried to put some books on it and it started to bow. But there are 6 other shelves so no big deal! I would recommend this bed and company! The customer service was great!!
Very comfortable, glad I purchased for my bedroom. The shipping took a little longer than expected but it was worth the wait. The loft bed came packaged well and arrived in great condition. The materials are good quality. The instructions were easy to read and we assembled the loft bed in a couple of hours, not hard to build just a little time. The finished product is beautiful and very sturdy. I am very happy with the loft bed. My daughter is able to stand underneath without having to duck/bend down. She is thrilled and has enjoyed the loft bed with the desk and shelving underneath. For the price this is a great choice.
Nice product true to description I purchased two of these. Were very satisfied with this loft bed. Great for them to have their own mini-office. Great way to keep school work organized. It can have so many functions. As far as assembly, I cant say it was very easy. However, thats because I did it myself. With a little help from my 10y/o. I sincerely believe that if two adults put this together, it would be a breeze.
Safety- the ladder is very sturdy. I like the design. With a 5 mattress, they sleep comfortably and safely up there.
