Ive had the bike a couple weeks and have road approximately 150 miles. I ride from my house to a rails to trails bike path. I usually do around 20 miles daily. The bike is sturdy, I ride some off road mild to moderate trails, with the fat tires it does great. The bike is bigger than it looks in pictures. If you are shorter than 55 you may struggle with its height. Its also pretty heavy to pick up and move. Think bag of concrete heavy. It has your typical entry level components on it. If you know anything about bike mechanics, super easy to work with. Lube the chain it comes dry. Brakes are mechanical, cables are cheap and stretch. I put metal mtb pedals on for first ride. The one that it came with Id break 30 seconds down a trail. The battery life depends on a lot of factors like weather temperatures, flat or hills, and pedal effort. Straight throttle on level 3 will get you 15 to 20 miles. With peddle assist around 30 miles, PAS 2 over 40 miles. I wanted a pure class II bike to comply with my state laws, lots of tickets are given out in my area. Also I chose this bike over the letric because of external battery, internal batteries overheat in FL and the frame can hold 33 more weight at the rack. So far Im impressed, its performed extremely well for a entry level fat tire folder. Ill update if anything goes wrong.
Update 2/27/2022
370.1 miles the tripometer and speedometer stopped working. Ive also noticed a loss of power, will not go over 16mph in PAS3. support has been good. Waiting on a new controller. Hopefully that fixes the problem. Will update again.
Update*3/14/2022
So it wasnt the controller. support offered to replace the bike or send a new motor. The bike I have now has the blinking brake light and front rack screws. I didnt want to be sent one without those, its not guaranteed what you will get with supply chain.
Update 4/1/2022
New motor definitely works better than old one ever did. Im happy with support that I will call good but not great. Lastly I recommend buying motorcycle/scooter tubes if you pop a tube. Same price but 4x thicker. I have yet to get a flat with one.
I bought this bike as a Christmas gift for my wife. It was on sale and seemed like a good deal. Not considering the size, it was great. good quality bike for the money. But is is for larger people, my wife doesnt want to ride it because she cant touch the ground. It turns out that I have to spend almost 2K for one small enough for her to feel comfortable on it. Come on you need to make a smaller version, for smaller adults to ride for less than 1K.
Absolutely love my . Have only been able to ride it a few times because of the upstate NY weather but it brought back the fun of riding a bike from my younger days. Very much looking forward to warmer weather and lots of rides. Only complaint is they used FedEx to deliver always problems with FedEx
Sometimes it not just about the product, but it about the service when things dont go as planned. Order the bike for my 11 year son (perfect size for him) for Christmas. Everything worked day 1, and he absolutely loved it. Easy to assemble, real sturdy and well put together, all around well worth the money. But then the horn and head light stopped working. I immediately spoke to their customer service, sent pictures, my address, and they sent two replacement parts. One was a wiring harness easy to change out, just a little zip tie and some velcro and I was done in mins. Then they sent a head light which was equally easy to plug and play. Everything works like new, looks like new, and the customer service was above and beyond what I expected.
I purchased two as Christmas gifts for me and my wife to replace our old skinny tire ebikes. Super easy to assemble, very well packed, a bit on the heavy side, this bike seems well made. Battery life is great, power is good but the pedal assist is very aggressive. On settings 1/3 as soon as you start to pedal the bike takes off faster than you can pedal. Not a big deal if your in an open area but trying to cross a busy intersection with pedal assist on is dangerous. Itll lurch forward real fast, you have to turn it to zero (pedal assist off) if your trying to inch forward with your foot on a pedal. My wife hates the pedal assist so I had to unplug the pedal assist from the controller. Pedal assist and throttle only work on settings 1/3, setting zero is no electric.
First of all, this is not a bad bike. Actually it depends what you expect and where you live. You need to know that is a heavy bike. You can hurt your back while you are caryying it somewhere. But it is very comfortable especially bad roads, off road. Easy to use. The battery gives you around 20/30 miles generally and it depends your usage. Brakes not bad for a 80 lbs bike. But supposed to be better for it especially after long time, they need to be changed i think. But like i said, not a bad bike. If you buy it without big expectations, you ll love it. I had a problem with the battery and i contacted the customer service. They reached me and sent me a new battery to fix the problem. The support after purchase is great.
I love the bike but the key switch in the battery is garbage. The first time I turned the key , the switch came out and all the tumblers came out of the switch. Now I have to turn the switch with a screwdriver which is annoying after paying this much for the bike. Love riding it though.
Im satisfied with my purchase I changed the seat for a larger more form fitted because I ride it for long hours. the battery life is fairly good and Ive found that if you turn it off using the key instead of just pressing the power button gives it an extra surge of power. the tires are larger than the average 20inch tires Ive seen on other bikes. This is my hog of electric bikes
