Pretty nice solid metal bunk bed. Got the grey color. Walmart sells the black one, but i prefer the grey one. I put a short queen memory foam mattress in the bottom rack and it works. Took an afternoon to assemble it, but its fun and would be more interesting to put magnets and stickers.
It was missing some pieces, but managed to order some more easily through the manufacturer website free of charge.
Updated review:
***According to manufacturer's sticker on the top bunk bed, kids at or under age of 6 aren't supposed to be on the top bunk since they may sustain fatal injuries if fallen from the top bunk.***
Buyers beware...
Pretty typical metal bunk beds. Honestly wish I could have figured out a way to haul the set from Ikea to my apartment instead, mainly because the ladder doesn't stick out. Pay close attention to the side the ladder is on in the pics because that's the only option with this bed. Very inconvenient and we've had more than one stubbed toe because it sticks out in the walkway, but otherwise I've been satisfied with beds. Just not looking forward to taking it apart when the lease is up!
Pretty decent, it looks nice and functions pretty well. With enough weight and regular use (I used it for my bed with my roommate) the futon mechanisms can get damaged or bent if you're not careful. They have good customer service though so I called them and they sent me a replacement part pretty easily. One of the most concerning things to most people is the creaking of the bed which I figured out is just because over time the screws begin to become a bit loose so if you tighten them again there is no creaking. I didn't know and didn't do this for about a year and a half and there was no worry of it falling apart so the screws becoming slightly looser isnt really a cause for concern. Overall I'd say it is definitely worth the price because it serves it's purpose extremely well. I've had it for about 2 years. The 4 stars is just because of the slight maintenances that it needed.
This was an inexpensive solution to a bed fighting problem. Was fairly simple to put together with only minimal issues. My husband could have put this together without any help from me, if he had read the directions ;)
It took three hours and two people to put it together. No tools needed. Sturdy construction (a week in so far) It wobbles a bit but all in all a great buy for the money. I spent more on the mattresses than the beds! Note do not buy a mattress larger than 6. Lol. The only con is that some of the instructions were not entirely clear.
Easy to put together, a 10 year old can do it in a couple of hours. Sturdier than most beds at this price point. There are definitely more solid beds, but they are significantly more expensive. The bed is also comfortable enough; again, there are better, but they are pricier. I found it suitable for dorm-style housing for college students. Weight limits are 200 pounds for top, 225 for bottom.
The bed fits in my small bedroom perfectly. From start of opening the box and putting the last screw in it took one hour and a half to assemble. The instructions but very easy to understand. It's easier when you have two people assembling the bed.
I fell for this bed at first sight and also the price is a gift. My boys love it. The twin part at the top is not easy to get fixed; my tip is to fix it with a queen size fitted sheet and throw a spread or a comforter over it (optional). Your bedroom looks larger and less clutter. But it, you gonna love it!

Make sure the ladder placement works for you!

An 8-year-old Can Assemble Bed.
My grandson really had a lot of fun assembling this. Micheal is proud of his work. He gets the top bunk whenever he visits.
very good and fix for creaking

sturdy cheap bed, comfortable enough
