This play pen works fine for my sons ferret and would be fine for other pets like a rabbit or guinea pig, but smaller animals would fit thru the wires.
I got this play pen for my ferrets. To try to keep them contained instead of having free range of the house. They didnt like this playpen and just would bite at the sides of it trying to get out. It may be because I have let them run around the house before. I put the playpen mat/cover that is bought separately on the bottom initially. One of my ferrets is able to jump from the floor, to the top of the cage and escape. So if I want to use this, I have to put the playpen mat/cover on the top of the cage and they wont escape. The size of the cage is great, bigger than I expected, but too big for my small living room. The cage just sits in a corner now, but if I am on vacation and have someone come take care of the ferrets, they can put them in this playpen to let them play.
Easy to setup, I had to return it to get one with smaller wire spacing. This pen has 3/4 spacing, I exchanged it for one with 1/2 spacing to use for pet rats.
I must say, having this playpen has been a lifesaver. Its durable and I have had no problems with escaping critters. The only thing I dont like is that the whole thing is attached together, except at the two ends. I had thought it was more flexible in terms of use and that each section could detach, but I suppose it does make it safer int he end. And honestly, its not that hard to pry the wires apart so that you can detach them.
If you do buy this product and are planning on moving it around frequently (i use mine outdoors and indoors), then I would HIGHLY recommend getting the tote bag. The cage is heavier than it looks and not as easy to move around as I had thought it would be. Especially the 11-panel one.

I got this for my Ratty, so shed have a bigger play area. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is because she does know how to shimmy up the bars. So if youre getting this for your ratty, just know that they need to be supervised during play time!
I had 3 puppies that I needed to keep contained. This cage worked for a while, but once they got bigger they could easily push it and move it around. It ended up being better for closing off the stairs, rather than as a pen for them.

We like this pen. I use it for our baby bunnies. I just wish that the covers would come with it. You have to purchase them seperately

This is such a great product
We love this play pen. it has helped us introduce our 2 dogs to our furballs and gives them a diffrent place be besides their cage.
