The bed is great and got here in good time. Some of the parts arent labeled so we had to be very careful about putting it together. Overall Im happy with it. No complaints.
For a bunk bed set this affordable I was anticipating the possibility of shoddy materials but this is a very handsome and sturdy bunk bed! Our kids LOVE it and our eldest now spends more time in the twins room because its so fun for forts and playtime. The assembly (4 hrs is a good estimate) is pretty straightforward if you follow the instructions closely. (Our kit had the minimum of labeling but deductive reasoning made assembly fine / e.g. if A1 was labeled then I always knew the other unlabeled piece must be A2, etc.)
Also, our twins bedroom ceiling is lower than most, so this was a good choice (this is a lower set than standard, so watch your measurements) / still ample room, for kids especially. I like it so much I am considering buying another one for a family summer cottage because it seems like it would last many years of use and adds bed space.
Bought this for two of my kids, ages 7 and 5. They love it, and its a pretty good/looking piece of furniture when put together.
When we got it from , the assembly instructions were missing(!), which is not a good thing for a bed this complex to assemble. Fortunately, a quick call to the manufacturer sorted that out and they emailed us a PDF of the manual right away.
Pros:
/ attractive look
/ slats are good and sturdy // much more so than other beds weve owned/seen
/ Manufacturer is nice to work with if theres a problem
Cons:
/ Its no easy task to assemble, took my wife and I about 4 hours. You have to pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION to what youre doing, because some pieces have very subtle/yet/important differences (e.g., one extra hole drilled in it) and none of them are labeled. I had to disassemble after about 20 minutes in because I missed one of these subtle clues.
/ We had trouble with a screw popping out of the front top railing. Had to glue it in eventually.
/ Once assembled, its a bit wobbly. Not wobbly enough that I feel my kids are in danger, but it doesnt exactly feel like the kind of rock/solid piece youd ideally want for a bunk. You wont be having uncle Hal borrowing the top bunk when he comes for Thanksgiving // this is a kids/only bed. Thicker main posts and some more robust means of hooking them together would go a long way to improving my confidence in the structure.
This bunk bed is solid and attractive. Assembly was not easy, but that should be excepted for such a large item. The only minor complaint: the stain used on the wood had a very strong odor for a few weeks. It has now dissipated, but seemed rather toxic at first.
For the price, this is a great bunk bed.
Its nice and high off the floor so you can store things under the bed easily. the space between the top bed and bottom bed is short, works for kids though. The top of the bed was lower then I had expected but if you pay attention (which I didnt) it tells you in the measurements. The wood is soft so my 4yr old son and his friends have already put a few dents in it. The color is beautiful.
The only reason I gave it a four is it didnt come with any instructions. Im glad my husband is smart enough to figure it out, because I wouldnt have been able to with all the pieces. Overall Im very happy with our purchase.
Purchased this bed for my 4 year old twins and we use it as 2 twin beds. Its perfect height for them. It is well constructed and you cant beat the price which includes free shipping. Only problem I had was the shipping. Since it was so big, UPS had hard time with it and they damaged it. So sent another one through FedEx and the box was little torn but the product didnt have any damage.
Nice bed but if you are looking to separate the beds use the top bed with railings for a toddler, this is not the bed for you as the ladder is attached to the entire side rail.

Good/looking bed, just a tad wobbly

not able to separate keep rails in place
