Having a desk and bed truly saved a lot of space in the room my twins share. We purchased two of these and it opened the entire room for them. We had these put together in a day and theyve proven to be very sturdy. the desk beneath was big enough for their laptops and craft projects (which the both have many of). Very impressed.
The loft bed is super sturdy and worth the money the only reason Im not giving it a 5 star rating is because the ladder is not easy to climb up. My daughter (5 years) and I both have climbed up it. She has a little bit of trouble and Im sure with time will master it but when climbing up it does hurt both of our feet. I would maybe suggest altering the ladder steps somehow.
My husband and I ordered three of these in the twin size, one for each of our children so they had more space in their bedrooms. These beds are aming! I assembled them on my own while my husband was at work. Each bed only took about an hour to assemble. They look great and seem as if they will hold up pretty well (assuming my children are somewhat responsible with them). Great price. Pretty sturdy. They do move a little if I climb onto it, but that may just be an issue with my uneven flooring (old house) rather than the beds themselves. Its not enough to cause alarm, and I am attaching the included brackets to the walls just for the added security.
Very squeaky!!! My 6 year old daughter weighs 45 pounds and this bed squeaks and squeals with her every move. Weve had it assembled about 3 months now and the squeaky sounds have not improved. Well get some WD40 to see if itll help any. Otherwise the bed is really nice. The mint color is exactly like the picture. Its very high/tall. Overall, my daughter loves it.
The bed is great as most other reviewers wrote. My son loves it and everyone gives me a praise. It did come with some defective parts like many other reviewers wrote. One of the under support rails was bent and did not fit into the grooves no problem, I just took a couple of plyers to bend it back until it finally fit.
The second issue was a broken end cap. It looks like a cheap plastic part and feels very fragile. I contacted the company and asked to send me a replacement part. It has been three months and still no replacement. I dont know why it is so hard for them to pick it out of their part bin and mail it to me. I will update my review once I receive the replacement part.
Update on 5/15/2021
I finally received the replacement part but it took them seven months and I had to send email reminders every month to check on the status. They must have just one person working at the customer service and quality assurance departments. It is unfortunately for a company who otherwise produces great products.
For those who received broken parts like I did, you can contact the company website and you will probably receive the part eventually, but you would have to be very patient and expect a long waiting time before they resolve the issue.
This would have gotten 5 stars except the bottom of one of the legs where the plastic is supposed to be, it was all cracked and partly missing, making the bed wobble and also scratching our floors. The girls love their loft beds other than that small little hiccup! Definitely would purchase again. Takes about 2 hours to put together. We have now put 3 together and hopefully no more after this!
My son has a small room (10x10) and this bed provides more space. He and his uncle assembled the bed over a few hours and so far its working well. One of the things my son didnt plan for is changing the sheets. Please be mindful that it isnt as easy as changing sheets on a traditional bed. Also, we used pool noodles to pad the stairs. Without padding, it hurts the feet when climbing up/down.
Very good bed for the price, in my opinion! Super easy to assemble for one person alone, even standing it upright and moving it around. Plenty of spare hardware, too! Some things I will HIGHLY suggest for the assembly process: 1, obey the directions. Do not get ahead of yourself, no matter how much you might want to jump the gun and juuust put that ooone little part in before the other. And obey the directions when they tell you not to tighten the screws all they way until youre done. Trust me on this. And 2, no matter what the other reviews say, DO NOT SKIP THE LITTLE GREY SQUARES!!! They are absolutely vital to the integrity and stability of the bed! Prepare your thumbs, because it WILL hurt like hell. Use something to apply pressure to help snap them in that will save your fingers, but DONT hammer them!!
Now, the bed is pretty stable for a loft bed, but could stand to be a lot better, like a thin bar across the floor to keep the front legs a little more secure. The height is great, even for a lower ceiling. I can sit up just fine and not bump my head, and was able to fit a full desk under the bed on one side, and a full size table on the other, with plenty of room for my rolling chair underneath and plenty of head room. Its an INCREDIBLE space saver! My only problems with the bed are that its scarily wobbly, especially when climbing up. If you have any kind of molding on your baseboard, the bed is going to be a bit further from the wall than youll want. The L brackets included will not reach, and youll have to get creative with how you secure it to said wall. Make SURE you secure it to studs only. Even secured though, its still frighteningly wobbly, so be aware of that. Every tiny movement you make, you WILL feel dramatically in the entirety of the bed. Its very audibly creaky, too. It is the shakiest when climbing up into the bed, and the lack of a dip or space in the railing makes it a bit of an annoying challenge to get in and out of. My other complaint is shared by everyone else in that the ladder rungs are INCREDIBLY narrow, at best approx 5/8ths of an inch diameter, and are very painful on the feet. Theyre also super smooth and offer zero traction. HOWEVER, my biggest complaint is that the motion of climbing in and out happens to force the rungs to loosen and turn little by little, unscrewing them from the ladder. Climbing up one night, the middle rung turned on its screws and rotated inward like a smooth little conveyor belt roll, flinging my leg through and causing me to fall. If I hadnt had an excellent grip on the top rail at the time, I absolutely would have broken that leg. Thankfully I was only left with a substantial amount of paint. So, daily tightening of the rungs is what Im reduced to, and considering a contact cement on the bolts. Instead of the pool noodle trick most folks do to make the rungs more comfortable, I instead chose a route of safety, and used reflectivestriped nonskid stickon stuff used for outdoor stairs, cut into strips that fit the rungs and circled them around completely. This way has kept my feet from slipping off and makes me more aware if the rungs start to become slightly loose again. Definitely recommend this trick, especially more than pool noodles which can also themselves spin around the rungs.
Allinall, decent product, even for an adult like me, which is great for anyone who doesnt mind climbing into and out of it. Excellent for anyone in college who needs to save space in small living quarters. I prefer the top bunk in a military barracks to this loft bed, is that says anything, but its not the worst bed by any means. Definitely recommend it over anything a certain large Swedish store sells for your own assembly. Its the perfect game changer for a tiny room, regardless of your age. Just know that if you have to pee in the middle of the night, you will hate life. If you get thirsty, then it sucks to be you. If you have diarrhea, vomiting, or are drunk, then youre better off sleeping on the floor. Do NOT use ANY amount of haste getting in or out of this bed, period. Its really a pain to get in and out of, due to the height of the railing that sticks up higher than the mattress. If you have male anatomy, youre going to rack it multiple times, and theres no avoiding that. Even as a female, theres no avoiding it. Despite its flaws, its actually the best loft bed Ive found, especially for the price, after doing a LOT of research. I do recommend it, just beware that nothing is perfect.
Cat absolutely loves it.

Not the greatest
Its ok but I wish I had went with something more stable. I am not taking it down at this point.
Squeak, squeal, eerk, eerk.
