So far so good. My pride ranged from not wanting to use a cane to being excited that my scooter was arriving. I really love this scooter. Yes, for me, looks matter. It arrived timely, fully charged, and not hard to put together. I was amed by how quiet this device is. If you want sporty, and functional, then this is what you need. I may have to re/arrange some furniture due to what I think is a very wide turning radius. For me and my muscle issues, the battery is quite heavy. I also need a place for my cane. However, that may not be too big of a deal for some people. Other than that, this scooter is great. I hope to update the rating after I get a chance to use it more.
PROS: Very quiet, smooth ride, very comfortable. SPORTY
CONS: Wider turning radius than I expected.
This scooter is great. Easy to take apart and put together. I fits in hatchback of my small Honda. Very comfortable and easy to ride. I was surprised how fast this can go. The battery last a long time between charges. It looks great and seems very well made. The seat swivels and makes it easy to get in and out of it. Highly recommended!
I purchased the scooter for my 91 year old mother to use when we are shopping She has a power chair at her independent living facility but it is not portable I receive the scooter yesterday, easily assemble it, plugged in the battery to charge and 12 hours later nothing. The Manual only includes a website, so I acessed the the site to get the phone number. I called the company and the reception was friendly and helpful I eventually spoke to a technician and was advised that they would send another battery. More to come once I get the second battery. The previous comments made were very helpful because the manual leaves out a few really important things like unlocking the wheels in the front and back. Will update my rating once my power issue is resolved.
Literature states that the scooter is good for indoor and outdoor use but we have found the base a bit low for travelling up and down the sidewalk curbs. The sidewalk ramps are fine. Also we purchased for a man well under the weight restriction but he is too tall for this model; he has to ride with his feet up beside the wheels.I would recommend this product if it were for a person under 5 10
I purchased this scooter for an event where I knew that I would otherwise be limited to a small part of the event area. I used this scooter to get around a less than smooth surface. It went over hills and through holes. It also went over bumps and small roots. The only things that gave it trouble were large rocks, large roots, and deep sand. I was completely impressed with the performance of this scooter. It comes apart and back together easily. I have no trouble getting it into and out of my car. Even with my back trouble and terrible knee pain.
I bought this to shop with primarily. We were surprised to realize that the back part comes off easily making it simple to fold down the tiller after taking off the seat and put it in the trunk of our small Nissan. I like that because it makes it far more theft proof. It scoots up ramps at store entrances as if they were flat. The only problem, which was foretold in previous reviews, is its turning radius. Dont go where you cant back up unless you are expert at three or four part turns. It is very quiet, zooms down a mall at a very good speed or can be geared down with a simple turn for more precise heavy pedestrian traffic areas. I love it. Id advise getting the four wheel one. The tricycle might be more maneuverable but four wheels are more stable. At the price, it is remarkable.
Having been denied a mobility scooter by the VA, and desperately needing an alternate means of getting around, I found myself needing to buy something out of pocket on a fairly limited budget. After doing some research on everything I could find within my price range, I settled on (not for) the Spitfire Scout 4 Wheel mobility scooter. I liked that it was delivered to my door and easy to assemble . The only negative Ive found so far / and this is a matter of opinion / is that the seat feels a little short as measured from front to back. Otherwise, this scooter has met my needs admirably, taking me to the store, the bank, church, and even to go vote.
I am VERY happy with my purchase.

Absolutely liberating!
