my daughter and son share a room. after searching the internet for months, we finally decided to go with this white, bunk bed and use it as two separate beds. we also purchased the Sleep Master 6/Inch Smooth Top Therapeutic Memory Foam Mattress, Twin mattresses. they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. it took our daughter a week to get used to the foam, but she is fine now.
the beds came in a very long and heavy rectangular box. you definitely need two people to carry it. make sure to have a garbage bag handy when you are ready to assemble bc there are a lot of plastic baggies and foam pieces. my kids ran around with the foam and made it snow in our house.
i had very little problem putting the bed together with the help of my dad. it took about 2/3 hours. we didnt notice the 5 or 7 holed pole that people were complaining about (rod H)/ i think they redesigned the piece to be easier to manage. or who knows. we did have to look online for the directions bc the paper directions we had did not have a picture for assembling all those little plastic pieces (88 of them).
so far, we havent had any problems with this bed. my husband who is a BIG guy lays down on this bed with my two kids to read them stories. we havent tried to put the bunk bed together, so i cant write much about that.
i was worried about the being too hard for the kids (they are movers and rollers when they sleep). but theyve adjusted and i put pillows on the sides for my little one. they love their new beds. and are out of our room!!!! But so far, Im a happy buyer!
I bought this frame to replace my daughters old one.It looks very nice put together and my girls love it. My only complaint would be the direction are a bit hard to follow,but once you get it it goes together easily. Very simple and beautiful design.

LET THAT BE A LESSON NOW OVERALL IM HAPPY AND SO ARE THE LITTLE ONES , THANKS.

UPDATE: 10/10/2019 this bed finally gave out, screws kept falling apart and wouldnt just stay screwed, had to dismantle and replace with another one Im sad to part ways with it but happy it lasted this long Nothing negative to say. a great value.

Bought these for my girls and they love it. It assembled pretty easily and it is very sturdy. The fact that I can convert it to separate twin beds later is a big bonus. Free shipping on an item that weighs over a hundred pounds is awesome. Just got the bed yesterday, so weve only slept on it for one night. So far I can say it takes a few hours to assemble, and it doesnt squeak or wake the other person up when you get in or our of it. It seems to have a little bit of give when you move your whole body in it (as an adult) but it doesnt make any noise when this happens. The cross beams that hold the mattresses up also seem pretty strong and able to hold a lot of weight. So far a great purchase. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

My 13/year old twin daughters decided they wanted black bunk beds to create a more social atmosphere in their fairly small bedroom. This particular style worked great, because it has a smaller footprint (and price tag) than most wooden beds and certainly the side/by/side twin beds they had before. The frame is very sturdy, and even though it is tedious to put together, all those little pieces are reinforcing the slats which are holding our precious children. Reading the reviews proved most helpful, and Id like to thank the buyer who left feedback about using channel lock pliers to insert all those gray tabs. Absolutely do that. He suggested taping cardboard to the jaws of the pliers to make sure you dont scratch the frame. I used electrical tape. Another reviewer recommended inserting one side of the tab first then snapping the other side in with the pliers. Worked like a charm. Now, only time will tell how many years we can get out of these beds. So far, my daughters love them. Sturdy and nice

Im not a girly girl, but I have been used to having a guy assemble things; thats not an option anymore, so I did it completely by myself. It went very well because I read the reviews about assembly first. The absolute worst part was the little clips, they were AWFUL. Great value; the beds are very sturdy, and theres plenty of head room when sitting up on the bottom bunk. This is exactly what I wanted.
