The chair is easy to assemble and looks very nice, however its like sitting on a brick. The seat cover unzips so we added a little bit of foam which helped some but is still not comfortable for sitting on for any length of time. If you want it primarily for looks its fine, if you want to actually sit on it I would advise looking elsewhere. Also, read the return policy carefully.... there is an undisclosed (unknown) restocking fee and the buyer must pay for the return using FEDEX. FEDEX.com estimates the shipping to be ~$175 per chair.
This chair was just about easy to put together but it doesn’t align right. I’ll hate to put more holes in the chair to fix it but looks like that’ll be my next option
These chairs are ok. I wouldn’t buy again. The back slats that should line up to assemble we’re not aligned and we had to remove and adjust to get the back on. Some minor defects and scratches. They just don’t look spectacular. They look cheap, creak when moved (like they could break) and the upholstery isn’t done super well. They also, as others have said, have a chemical smell I hope goes away.
Returning chairs is a pain and these (I got two) were for a sitting area in a bedroom. I’ll keep them but do feel like I overpaid for the quality of these chairs.
Chair is not "red" - its brown. Accurate color description is important, and this is rust/brown/tan: earth tones. Not any red. I wrote a previous review about this problem and deleted it. I made several attempts to return item and seller made that impossible. If the color tone is really important to your eye, be careful with these chairs. (BTW, also bought the green, it looks great.) Chair is moderately comfortable.
I was so looking forward to this chair and the instructions looked pretty straightforward. The first red flag were the two wooden stumps on the chairs back which needed to be inserted (??) into holes (??) situated at the end of each of its arms. The major red flag is how I was unable to connect the seat part to the back of the chair as the holes are not aligned. Tried countless times, though to no success (see photo). Got out a hammer and nails and they are firmly connected. It shouldnt be THAT difficult, and if not for that I would have given a rave review. It looks nice. The back is kind of low, though at least firmly secured for good.
Diagram to assemble was wrong the screw to attach the back of the chair to the base was too short to complete the process. Also the hole that was cut to insert the screw was an inch long. So you had to feel around with the screw driver to find the hole and then try again and again to see if the screw would stay but it is too short.. I guess if I pay $204.00 for a chair I should not expect it to be well
Made.
