Very solid door, wood was cracked, which I glued and sanded because I didnt want to send it back. Then the diagonal slats didnt fit anyhow, cant seem to catch a break with this door!
Seller is responsive and willing to fix. However, this is hard labor to assemble. Wood comes warped, instructions are very difficult to understand. So be prepared to spend an entire day or two putting this together, while you contemplate why you spend 300 at a bar, but cheap out on having this installed.
Nice door but the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Instruction are metric and required drill sizes in metric, if they give you SAE measurements the are in 10th of an inch. When installing the rail they give you a good measurement for were to draw your line for the rail but do not tell you what part of the bar goes on the line (top, bottom, or alined with holes. Naruraly I choes the wrong one. The plastic volleys for the lags would not grip them and pushed straight through. I made the mistake of getting big molley bolts that pulled the spacers through the wall. I then watched Home depots you tube instructions for how to hang one, ran to Lowes bought a 1x4 board and mounted it to that. All said and done, it looks great, works great and I love it.
Through no fault of the Seller, one of the long boards was warped, it ended up scraping the baseboard and ruining the paint. Contacted the Seller and asked for a replacement, they immediately sent them out. When taking the original door apart, we ended up breaking other boards in the process, contacted the Seller again and they immediately sent out replacement boards. I would highly recommend them and if I need to order anything from them, I now know that they back everything they sell up! They are Great!! Thank you again ! We will be back!
The door is great. I put together the door in less than 30 minutes. The instructions for the hardware is aweful, a bunch of errors. Dont use the molly bolts and install this in sheet rock. The diameter sized drill bit was way too big and the molly bolts arent adequate. If you can think through and do your own measurements for the hardware youll be fine. If the instructions were better it would be 5 star.
We shopped around a lot for barn doors, and when we found one this size at this price it seemed too good to be true. We went for it because we were quoted this price for the hardware alone at other places! We also have a handyman who is an expert carpenter working on our remodel, and honestly thats the real reason I can give this a good review. He said it was some work, but he was very happy with the materials and finished product. Just know that you literally have to build this. What comes to you is a box full of lumber (to my laymans eyes!). It also requires staining/finishing, which is not done yet in this picture. But if you can build it, its beautiful and super affordable!
Very nice door works great buyers need to know to purchase door at least 2 inches wider than finished door opening and know how to convert decimal to fractions of an inch otherwise very easy to build and install.

For example, I had to download instructions for a similar product to fill in the missing steps, e.g., installing the door guide.
One of the stiles had a split in it that required gluing prior to assembly.
Several areas had large deposits of wood sap that needed to be wiped clean with paint thinner prior to staining.
When I ordered, it said it was in stock. Took a month before it was shipped, then arrive a weak later. There were no instructions in the box. I order a 32x84 and the box was marked 32 but after it was assembled, the door measured 34 wide. I was able to cut 1 inch of each side and found instructions for a similar door, different brand online. While the door looks nice, they made it had for me. If you not handy, stay away, if you are handy, additional work will be required
