Took a long time to put together, it took my brother in law and husband about 6 hours. The most time consuming part is tightening all the bolts with a tiny little allen key. Would be faster if they were screws. But oh well. The drawer and cabinet are cheaply made and the drawer is kinda crooked on the track. Despite these things My 3 year old absolutly loves her big girl bed. Weve had it about a month and it is very sturdy. You get what you pay for, this bed is a super cheap deal, and a great space saver for a small bedroom. I bought the princess castle curtain to go with it and my princess has a cool hang out for herself and billion stuffed animals!
I am disappointed. For starters the bed did not come with an instruction manual. The manual could not be found in the website either when inputting the IM . Finally after finding the manual on a different site and having assembled the frame I have noticed that the side rails are bent and the paints is chipping away. Please trust me and do NOT buy these. So disappointed!
Several points that are positive here:
1) It is completely sturdy. My five year old daughter in all of her rambunctiousness cannot disturb this thing. When looking at pictures I was a little worried about the steps as they didnt appear super solid. Those steps are SOLID, people! They have actually become her new time/out steps because they are secure until the end of time.
2) It takes time to put it together / my husband and I spent almost 4 hours / but the directions are clear and step by step. I would read the next steps and gather pieces. He would assemble. We did this over and over.
3) The height is perfect so that I can stand on the side (I am 55) and read a book while standing up comfortably. It is high enough that my girl can play underneath but not so high she is nervous.
Notes to know:
1) Having a ratcheting multi/head screwdriver makes this project so much easier. The instruction clearly states not to use power tools / probably because they are worried you will strip screws. But the ratchet made the job ten times easier than just doing this project completely by hand. They provide an allen wrench and they ask you to have a phillips head screwdriver, but truly the ratchet is needed.
Lots of parts to assemble but instruction is very user friendly. Shipping and delivery is fast. There are some damages like dent on the railing and damage on the corner of one of the wood. Came early than it supposed to be. Other than its good. Much better than expected
We bought this bed for our 7 year old to help creat space in her small bedroom for her to play. I had been in the market for a loft bed with steps because I was worried shed fall getting up in the night if I bought one with a ladder. I also didnt want a standard loft bed as shes still quite young and doesnt need a ton of room underneath. It does its job and looks pretty great. It took us about 5 hours to assemble and was pretty easy. I do wish I had gotten the standard size now though. So if your on the fence about getting this one or a standard size go for the standard well probably only get another year out of this one before we have to switch to the standard size. Very pretty.
Really not as I imagined ok must dismantle something already assembled to mount the steps according to the clips that connect the bars of the base for the mattress breaks when we want to clip them and in addition the box was delivered to me at the bottom of my staircase without ringing I found it in the snow when I came out really disappointing. DO NOT BUY.

The box is heavy AF so you should really move it with two people. I did not heed this warning and it got sketch real quick. Hubby put it together with minimal swearing and it is so sturdy! I love it and its exactly what I wanted, and it was a great value! My child is 3 years old and was so excited for its arrival and build. Now she wants nothing to do with it and will not sleep in it Nice color and easy to assemble
The bed is awesome but the assembly is a whole other story. I bought this bed for my 3 year old and hes in love with it but it took myself and 2 other people over 5 hours to assemble it. The instructions are unclear and you have to constantly tighten the screws. Awesome bed but a lot of maintenance and a lot of work. Good price as well

Am a little dissapointed on the itemz that had a little damage.
