    Worth it

Due to COVID my husband and I found ourselves in need of a school/work area. When looking for a desk chair, this was one of the few (that didn't break the bank) available. We were initially skeptical of the chair because of some of the comments, but needless to say we took the risk and got it anyway. The assembly is extremely simple and painless, took maybe fifteen minutes to put together. The chair is not a pure eggshell white but more of a creamy vanilla white. The chair has a nice tilt feature that feels secure and not like you're going to topple over. The cushions are soft and comfortable, not cheap feeling but not overly luxurious either. The back of the chair is where the parts are hidden when you need to assemble it. Once the chair is assembled, it leaves a hollow space that you zip up, and that's perhaps my only complaint. Due to the pressure of the pieces and the position of the chair during packaging, it left a bit of a crinkled corner once zipped into place. More than likely, we're going to fill the hollow cavity with some sort of upholstery foam at a later date. One thing to note about this chair is that it is a little narrow. Those of you blessed with a little extra thickness may find it uncomfortable to fit your peach bums in the chair. Otherwise 4/5 and do recommend

    Hydraulics Give Out Very Quickly

Sat in it maybe 50 times and it's already dropping all the way down. Wish it had been comfortable enough to sit in 50 times the first month, I could have returned it. I've had the chair for a year but hardly ever sat in it, and no one else ever sat in it. I only weigh 178 pounds and just sat down at the desk of my old computer I never use anymore, and the chair just decided to give out. Raised it thinking maybe it was a one time deal but no luck, just keeps dropping back down. Another thing, the reason I hardly ever used the chair is the fact that it's always leaning foreword. There's no way to relax and recline. It's supposed to be possible to recline a bit but the spring is so strong (no matter how it's adjusted) you have to push really hard on the floor to get it to lean any way but foreword. Definitely would never buy an Select again. I've hade $40 chairs from a Store we all know that starts with a W, that last much longer. (And feel much better). Going back to that store now to get another $40 one that will last 4 or 5 years. Stay away from these office chairs, uncomfortable, won't last, and for the $80 you would spend here you can get 2 that are much better. Look around, you can find GOOD Deals, not a rip off like this chair turned out to be.

    Not comfortable at all

I purchased this chair based off of reviews and cost. Once I received the chair and assembled it (did not take too long to assemble), immediately realized the chair was not that comfortable for me. I attempted to return the chair at Kohls, but was told they could not accept this product and I had to go to a UPS Store. UPS would only accept the chair if it was totally disassembled. The issue for me was I was unable to unattach the base (the pole that gives the chair height) from the legs. Once this part is inserted, it cannot be undone.

    VERY POOR QUALITY!

VERY POOR QUALITY! Bought this for a friend (190 lbs) who used it intermittently for 9 months on a laminate floor with a chair mat. Wheel sheared off.

    Very small

This chair was pretty simple to put together. Once I got it together though I realized just how small it was. I put my toddler in it and I seriously looks like it was made for him. I'm 5'5 and I look like a giant in this thing. Couple that with the fact that the backing for this thing is about the thickness of an eggshell cushion you'd put on your mattress is what really made me give it a low rating. I was fooled by all the reviews. It's not the worse chair ever, it's just not something I want to spend my entire work day in. Definitely going in person shopping for the next chair I buy. Lesson learned
