Assembly was pretty easy. Instructions were good. Took me about 2 1/2 hours. Only complaint was it was missing two screws. Lucky I had some around the house. Good purchase overall
I put this together by myself, following all of the instructions. (I am 66 yrs young) It took a few hours, but its very solid and I think it will serve its purpose. I like that the instructions were spelled out with exploded detail for clarity.
Every small piece had at least one to three extra pieces in the bag, so no worries about losing anything.
The drawers pull nicely, the finish is nice and smooth and the capacity is very generous. Its large enough to place a printer or other office equipment on top.
The black file cabinet came fully assembled. Its not heavy at all and the metal its made from is pretty thin. There was a minor dent but we didnt care. We received all parts with it and letter-sized files fit perfectly. I like that the drawers extend far and it doesnt need rails for hanging files. The hanging files rest on the sides of the drawer. I wish the drawers slide on a track because it would make them easier to pull out and push in when full. Overall its a basic 2-drawer cabinet that is perfect for a lot of file storage under our desk.
I selected this two-drawer file cabinet based on reviews. Then I realized, it was only going into a closet to be accessed rarely (just home files). Did I really need an old-fashioned metal one? So compared prices with single-drawer totes, stackable plastic files, etc. Those were almost as expensive as this tried and true product. Sold! It is exactly as described. Maybe a bit thinner metal than Grandpas original from 1947, but looks the same and IS sturdy. Ignore the reviews about difficulty installing the handles. Absolute snap! Perhaps they used the wrong screwdriver head. One complaint others had is correct: the drawers do NOT pull out all the way. So if it were jammed full, you could not access files in the back without removing a few from the front. That said, if you currently have two packed drawers of files, its either time to purge -- or graduate to a three-drawer. This product line is the way to go!
Material and build quality is ok. Does what it should. Downside is the bottom is not closed, making it difficult to put felt feet on it. It also does not come with said felt or rubber feet, which are a must otherwise it will scratch your floor.
Ive seen much better for 100$ less, but since everything is out of stock or have ridiculous lead times because of the pandemic and everyone making home offices, itll have to do.

Better than I expected. Especially for the price.
