This file cabinet joins five other almost identical black cabinets that line my office wall.They look cool and are servicable for storing documents and other office related parephenalia. However the concept of security is an illusion. Any two-bit punk with a screwdriver is capable of popping open any of the drawers. Or, if the punk is muscular, he can simply pick up a cabinet and flee the premises. The cabinet I purchased from is also identical to the five previous purchases in another respect: It is incredibly difficult to attach the handles to the drawers. A high level of skill and patience are required. The extra screws are a necessary feature. But beware: I bought the other cabinets on sale at Target for only $28.00 each. Although the drawers have much stronger bottoms, it is debatable if this is worth the additional cost. For me the convinience of buying it on line from was tolerable: Im getting lazy in my old age.
For the great price that this piece is, I love it! I bought this piece to go under a reception desk that sat pretty low. We were in need of some storage so this thing worked great! The price its listed for is perfect as well, good luck trying to find one cheaper in your office supply book or at ANY office store. I got mine with free shipping so it all worked out GREAT!
We have had no issues with the functionality or parts, and weve had the unit set up and used multiple times daily for over 4 months now. I am going definitely going to buy some for my house to house important documents. I can take one key with me and put the other in my safety deposit box. For the price, you couldnt get a decent Tupperware storage box for what you could pay for a metal one!
While remodeling my home office this year I found myself needing a new, smaller filing cabinet. This was by far the least expensive option I found for the size I needed, and Im definitely satisfied with the purchase. This is a pretty efficiently sized cabinet (which is what I needed), but definitely check the measurements before ordering it expecting it to be a full-size cabinet.
As perfect as this cabinet has been for me, it is flimsier than I expected, using a thinner sheet metal than most filing cabinets. I wouldnt recommend it for any load bearing using (for example I wouldnt build a desk on top of this cabinet).
Pros: As small as it can be for filing. It works fine. Packaging was very good. Arrived with no damage. Excellent value! I am buying a second.

This is good for basic filing needs. I wouldnt put anything really important inside though. Not much protection from this. Robbers can just carry this with them.
