The Roundhill stools are great for the price. Several reviewers complained about the the feeling that they are falling forwardI agree, but if you place your feet on the foot rest, it minimizes the sensation. Every morning the wife and I have our breakfast at the kitchen island, sitting on these stools. We hardly notice the forward tilt. Our 6 year old granddaughter tumbled off one of the stools recently, but she is hyperactive and was doing some gymnastics. She even did this at her house on a 4 legged chair and fell off.
We set the height we like and dont fiddle with the hydraulics anymore. Our comfort height seems to work with the two grandchildren too.
To be politically incorrect, if your caboose is large, dont bother sitting on these stools. You wont fit well, and you wont be comfortable. My wife and I have medium cabooses, and we just fit.
I think these are great chairs given the price I paid for them. They arrived in perfect condition, were super easy to assemble and seem to do ok. They are fairly stable to sit on - we are bot under 170 lbs so dont know how it would work for heavier folks.
The ONLY complaint I have is the ease with which it stains, and I mean finger mark/greasy stains. Its not like we are wiping dirty hands on this, but due to the very dry and matte texture of the fabric, any fingerprint mark shows up as a greasy stain.
I am constantly wiping these off.
I think I will either wipe it down with some beeswax or make some simple seat covers for the back cos the stains are annoying me.
I never write reviews (usually bc Im exhausted by the time I finish assembling things) but these stools are so great, I felt compelled to do so. The padding and leather make them comfortable, they have non-slip rubber around the base, they swivel nicely, and raise and lower easily. I just bought another set! Plus they arrived a day earlier they expected! Whats not to love?!
This product looks great it was easy to put together the packaging was nice and tight the only question I have is do I pump it up or do I have to raise it up.
I wanted to love these especially after all the great reviews but I dont. I feel that the back is not positioned properly and that it is pushing me off. We are keeping them because we wanted a barstool with a back for our two year old granddaughter. On the plus side they assembled quickly and easily and they do look nice.
you cannot beat this, these stools are so nice. the only thing is they did not line the holes up where they really should go. I had my nephew to drill new ones in for me. but that was their job. I had to pay someone to do. so sad. other than that, I love them

Attractive but back has an uncomfortable alignment

Very easy to put together, but I find the seat angles forward a bit too much. Not sure if I would have bought it had I actually sat on it first.
