One of the barstools was defective with a small crack in one side of the wood where you can rest your feet.
I kept them because I didnt want to waist more time in the return and I really need them. Other than that they were great and what I was expecting.
I like this a lot. I intended it for my desk, I am disappointed it does not go far enough down to fit at a low desk. It is more for a standing desk only.
I took a chance on this despite other reviewers that had a difficult time. The biggest takeaway, for me, was to put it together loosely at first, then do the final tightening when its all together.
My husband weighs 300lbs. and these hold his weight just fine with no issues. It is a hard seat, so its only somewhat comfortable.
