My 15 year old and I put this together in about two hours. It wasnt easy, but it wasnt as hard as Id feared. It looks SO cute in my teens room and the price with free shipping was unbeatable. Very happy with this bed.
This is the 3rd platform bed I bought from , easy to put together, my 16 year old did it himself. It looks neat and perfect for a teenagers room, and adult.
You basically get what you paid for. The boards arent cut to perfect length, the platform is a pain to put together without a drill because none of the holes are pre/drilled. The wood is cheap particle board. I guess after it was all together it isnt the worst platform. After having it for a few weeks it hasnt given me any problems, however the assembly was rather frustrating.
When the materials for the bed came, the box was torn, and one of the boards was damaged. Since it didnt affect the look of the unit, I kept it anyway, and turned the board upside down for assembly. You have to assemble the bed in the exact spot; moving it after assembly is not an option, or you could cause damage to the unit. Assembly took 2 hours with one person. The rails around the bed are narrow, and only a few screws to hold them in. The corners are sharp, so you need space around the unit otherwise you will skin your shins. Overall I am satisfied with the unit and for the price it is a great buy for a teenagers room.
All the reviews are correct. Read all of them before you decide to buy the bed. I think the directions are horrible. Any warning you are given as you read each review is 100 correct. Its sturdy, Ill give it that, and it is cute. All in all I am pleased with it. It will do for now.
My biggest complaint about this bed is that its pretty cheaply made. I guess I should expect that but I could have found a comparable metal frame for the same price that would be fine.
The directions are confusing, there are random pilot holes that dont screw into anything. Its also that compressed Saunder like wood. One light tug on the board and it comes right out, wood screw and all.

It is particle board, but for the price, what can you expect? The only complaint she has is the corners are at the right level for bumping her legs, but being aware of this, it can be avoided The box it was shipped in was thin, and the corners were torn, but no major damage was done to the materials inside / no missing parts! It is heavy, but I opened it and transferred it piece by piece to the room for assembly. It does need to be assembled in the room in which it is intended, because it is very heavy and would be impossible to move afterwards. I put this together by myself / but I like a challenge and puzzles!! It would be easier with 2 people! We are very pleased with this platform bed!
Great Bed Easy to assemble and instructions are clear. It took only 2 hrs to assemble with normal tools. I ordered this for the guest bedroom. Great price and good value for the money.
However Supplier failed to provide the full address (even though I provided full address to Supplier) and faced many problems in receiving the shipment from the courier guys. Since the package was single heavy one (170 lbs) the courier guys damaged and I need to reorder the second one.
I am giving 3 for this problem only. Otherwise the bed is great.
The bed came tightly packed in a small box. Everything arrived fine and intact. My only complaint is that the holes drilled were slightly off and the boards were not cut 100 equal size. This is a job for 2 people so I wouldnt recommend trying to do it yourself. I used wood glue along with the screws and everything seems very sturdy, even after a few weeks. If you are looking for something cheap and easy to assemble, I recommend.

In the instructions it said dont use a drill, but that actually seems like the best way. Its better than using a hammer and screwdriver and having lots of blisters on your hands when you finish. I would only advise buying this if you are handy or have someone handy to put it together for you.
