    Missing Parts

We ordered this bed for our son and while Ive never written a review I just had to on this item. The item was slightly damaged when we received it, but nothing that couldnt be worked around. The hardware and customer service, however, were another story. The package arrived with the instructions but no hardware kit. We called and requested a hardware kit be shipped to us over 8 days ago. We finally received a fedex tracking number yesterday/ only to find the hardware kit has not even shipped yet. Status? Still in the warehouse. When we called again this morning/ they apologized and assured us it would be shipping first thing Tuesday. Two weeks for a hardware kit? Apparently a trip to the hardware store is in order. Nice bed for the money, if you have the time to deal with all the issues that come with ordering from this vendor.

    Nice and cheap, but

Of course, I got what I paid for. Apparently that was not enough for the necessary INCLUDED hardware. Like screws to keep the bed together. But at least I have all this useless particle board!

    Just what I wanted

I just recieved my plateform bed today and it is awesome! It took a little while to put together, but considering I am a 22 yr old, 125 lb girl, it wasnt too bad. If I can do it anyone can! I bought a memory foam mattress for it and it fits perfect.(8inch, full size mattress) Definitely a great buy! worth it

    Worst purchase EVER

I have purchased quite a few items through , and this by faris the WORST. The boards do not line up, one of the bed slats even BROKE during assembly! There are NO holes drilled for the side boards, and NOTHING lined up! Iam actually in tears writing this review. What do I do now? This whole mess weights over 100 pounds, I cant get it back in the box to return itI am left with crappy particle board all over the bedroom! HELP! And if you cant help, save yourself the headache and purchase another bed!

    Excellent platform bed

We purchased this bed for our teenage daughter and she loves it! It is very heavy in the packaging it arrived in. We opened it up and carried the pieces up to her second floor bedroom. I put the bed together by myself in about an hour. The only complaint I have is that the wooden pieces are not all marked so it took some time to identify which pieces were which. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. I did need help when lifting the bed and attaching the platform to the base requires two people. Overall, we are very satisfied with this purchase.

    This bed isnt worth getting.

I had a hard time putting it together, instructions not clear. The screws didnt want to screw in correctly. And two days after having it put together, the side boarder frame came undone and wont screw back down. And then one of the middle boards broke! This bed is no good to me and I have to buy another! What crap.

    Satisfied customer!

I received the product as advertised with all necessary hardware. Setting up the Full size bed frame didnt take more than 1 hour by myself. The Moldings took the most time as there werent pre/drilled holes for the screws. Otherwise, it could have been done in less than 1 hour. The instructions arent as confusing as some of the reviewers make it out to be. If youve put together ikea furniture, you can put this together with ease. Beware of the edges of the frame if you are placing it in a small room, its easy to accidentally hurt yourself walking around the bed. The frame is very sturdy. Have a mattress and two people (approx 375 lb altogether) laying down on it. No issues with loose screws, flimsiness, creakiness, etc. I have mine over carpet, but I would recommend that if you are placing this on a hardwood floor to have a rug right under it as it may scratch the floor. The provided padding doesnt provide much support. The only issue I experienced wasnt from the manufacturer or . I would dock half a star for the delivery. Expect nicks and scratches as those responsible with delivery may be careless with your package. My box came ripped at the edges, but all pieces were intact. All scratches were either not visible after construction or covered by the mattress, so that didnt affect me. Also, it would have been nice if UPS gave the driver a partner to deliver this massive box. Felt bad for the guy, he carried it up a flight of stairs to my porch.

    whats up

Ive never done this before but, i feel that in this case i have to. I have ordered this item not once but, twice the first time was at the end of feb. it was transported all the way to my city, but it never got to my home apparently, it was broken either during shipping or because of inferior packaging or inferior construction. Now, I can understand how something like this can happen from time to time, so the at the beginning march I ordered a second bedframe, since I never recieved the first one. would you believe the same thing happened again, because I sure have hard time believing myself. to top everything off I never received any kind of notice letting me know what was going on, and my money has not been returned at this point in time. I understand that this company is most likely busy, but they didnt waste any time taking my money, so why is it taking so long to get mine back. I have to admit that spending 129.99 for a bedframe sounded like a great deal but this deal has cost me 260.00 and I still dont have a bedframe.you know the old saying you get what you pay for well I guess that sometimes you dont even get that.

A lot of work for a little furniture

Ive been sleeping with my mattress on the floor for the last six months. As soon as I could afford to, I started looking for platforms for my full/standard Simmons mattress. This one caught my eye because of its dark color, its low price/free shipping, and a few mostly positive reviews. Here goes Once it arrives, you will need a friend to help you move the box unless the delivery person is willing to help you bring it in. It weighs around 140lb. I (fortunately) have hardwood in my bedroom, so sliding it around during its construction wasnt too bad. If you have carpet, youll probably want another person around to help you place it. The entire thing is made of plywood, as is most do/it/yourself furniture. The finish is black along the molding but the base is actually a very dark mahogany. I was under the impression the whole thing was black. It was upsetting to find out otherwise, but not so much that I wanted to return 140 pounds of package. The finish quality is awful. There was a sticker attached to one of the pieces (choking hard or something like that maybe?) and in pealing it off, some of the finish came with it. Fortunately the scar isnt visible now that its all put together. Building this beast took me almost three hours, the latter half of which was an exercise in frustration. A great deal of screwdriving is required something like 30 screws You must place several slats down the length of the bed and if any of them is even slightly misaligned, the last slat you put down will not line up properly and youll need to drill new holes. This happened to me because I was building it alone and just ran out of hands (and patience). The worst part of building was the molding, which required me to drive screws upward under the platforms lip. There is maybe only 8 or 9 inches of clearance, so a screwdriver just barely fits there. Additionally, youre constantly fighting gravity because the screwdriver will obviously fall away from the screws head unless you have a firm grip on the driver at all times and apply upward pressure. Additionally, the molding weighs next to nothing, so theres no resistance as youre screwing unless you put one hand on top of the molding. Additionally, the molding does not rest on the platform / it is held in place by the screws / otherwise it would fall off, so you also have to hold the molding in place as youre screwing upwards with one hand and pressing downwards with the other. Additionally, the molding does not have pre/drilled holes in it, so unless you have a drill to get you started, youre actually having to drill into the molding upwards with a screwdriver with zero resistance and a piece of molding that constantly wants to fall off the bed platform. Let me tell you, its almost as much fun as performing oral surgery on yourself sans novocaine. Some of the frustrations could be overcome with a little foresight. The molding along the sides of the platform could probably be drilled down before the slats are screwed into the base unit, thus allowing you to turn them over and screw downwards. But theres no easy way to do this with the molding along the foot of the bed, and the instructions sure as hell dont tell you this until youve already got all the slats screwed down. All this to say: this is not easy to build. If it wasnt for my drill, I would have probably ended up in a wretched, Pabst/fueled frenzy of epic proportion. I do not look forward to the day when I move out of my apartment. Why 3 stars Its dirt cheap and I figure three hours of frustration is overshadowed by a couple years of having a piece of furniture I like, and not having to sleep on the floor anymore.
