Wasnt sure at first but Im happy we bought it.

Some of the reviews are on are ridiculous but some are very helpful. I read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing this. A customer who reviewed this bed left a very detailed and helpful review a few years back and thats what we went off of. He suggested getting some extra hardware, and we did. We still had issues with the drawers. But I have to say I was actually impressed with the bed. The drawers are great. The bed doesnt make any noise. We have a smal child so I have to get a few times during the night, and our old bed would make so much noise getting up and down a few times. Now theres nothing. I cannot comment on how long it took my hubby to put it together. He was home with our son and I was at work. Some did it little by little all day. He said overall once he didnt have issues with putting it together. But like some said the drawers are tricky. The bed arrived on time. Was 3 large packages. I was skeptical about it with some of the reviews between the construction and materials. But like I said if you read the reviews and take advice from other buyers its actually a good bed. Obviously its not real wood. If it was the price wouldnt be so low. Keep that in mind. Overall Im pleased with the bed and Im happy we have it.

    Well worth the money.

I love this platform! I put it together myself in a couple of hours. I laughed when I saw the directions had approximate time next to each step. My first thought was bite me. The directions were pretty clear, but I would make one small change. You have these little connectors that you are supposed to insert in the holes provided when you begin assembling sides and drawer hangers for the frame and then proceed to the other steps. Save yourself some aggravation and dont bother. They are loose in the openings and fall out every time you move the piece to its next position. Just wait until you have to actually use that connector, then insert it. It will save you chasing the dang things around the room. Once its assembled, its very solid. The only negative is the slats under the mattress. I would have wished they were held in place a little better instead of being so movable. I have a memory foam mattress on top and getting it on there by myself and having to readjust the slats was more work than putting the thing together!

This is a great bed that provides excellent space for clothing and additional space behind the drawers for my sons trinkets. We bought the Signature Sleep Contour 8 Inch Twin Mattress to use on the frame and it was super comfortable and practical for a great total price. Dont be afraid to purchase this as it is well made and easy to put together while also dressing up a plain room.

Good value for the money...I like this bed.

This is a good bed and assembly is not too tough. Unless you are the Hulk it will take two persons to move the boxes from the delivery point (front door) to the assembly point (bedroom). It is important to read the review by Matthew C. Ziegler on July 4, 2010. His comments kept me from heartache, especially buying shorter screws than those sent with the unit. On the down side, only two boxes of the three arrived first. The third came two days later. One of the boxes that arrived first contained the drawers so I assembled them first. Please keep in mind that the drawer sides and back are made of soft wood. My specific recommendations are this: 1. I would suggest inserting the cams for the drawer fronts from the outside rather than from the inside as the diagram shows. You can do one as a trial. Insert the cam from the inside and look at how the drawer will look when pulled out. 2. Be careful when attaching the drawer rails to the two interior support. The holes in the supports are for rails on both sides. I screwed one rail in too far and it prevented the rail on the other side from being attached sufficiently. I had to drill an additional hole to attached the rail completely. 3. Once the frame and supports are assembled (but before the slats are applied), put the drawers in and ensure that the rails stay in the tracks when open and closed. If they do not it could mean that the frame is out of alignment. You can move/adjust the frame slightly to address this. 4. I used a roll of rubber door/window insulation in the rail opening for the bed slats. This will keep the slats from rattling back and forth. 5. Since the slats are not finished and a mattress will sit on them I used the plastic from the new mattress I purchased as a liner between the slats and the mattress. On to customer service. I would rate it as wonderful. When my drawer rail came out of the support I needed an additional rail support and screws. I called customer support. They sent me the needed parts in due order and I completed the job. The assembly took five days in total to complete (I was interrupted by episodes of Scorpion and The Big Bang Theory). Continuous time is approximately 4-5 hours. All in all, if you follow the advice of Mr. Ziegler and the comments above you will have a sturdy enjoyable bed.

    Love this bed frame.

I normally do not post any product reviews, We live in a fairly small house, and the bedroom is pretty cramped, so upon seeing this bed with storage it was a no brainier and i ordered it without even thinking about reading the reviews, After i had placed the order, i read the reviews and was worried i had perhaps made a mistake due to a lot of poor reviews. i almost cancelled the order but decided cant be that bad.. it took about a week to arrive, it came in 4 rather big and bulky boxes, (one i had to open out on the deck) as i could not get a grip on it to get it in to the house myself. i was not worried about getting any instructions as i normally just toss them to the side anyways, and i have had plenty of furniture, so assembly should be a no brainier as long as you take the time to check the alignment of the holes, but i will say it came with instructions, and everything was packed i heavy duty boxes, and foam to fill up all the gaps, (one of the boxes had a dent on the corner, but i assume that was from shipping/transport) but nothing inside the box had been damaged. Now as far as the parts, there is A LOT, a lot more than i expected, each drawer along with the rails, uses a total of 28 screws, 4 nails and 2 lock nuts. times 12 drawers, so that alone took longer than the suggested 1-2 hour total assembly time. but i took my time, being careful not to force anything, or strip screw holes, since particle board tends to strip easy. after about 5.5 hours i had it assembled to get the mattress in place. with all that said, i love this bed, it is not solid oak or something super high quality wood, but for the price, storage and overall quality, it is by far worth it. it is TALL, with a 15 inch mattress, the top of the mattress is at my waist, so i have to do a bit of a jump to get up to it, (im 5.10) plenty of slats to accommodate a memory foam mattress, if i have any negative to say at all, i might be on the drawers, the bottoms are very thin, so i dont expect it to hold any great weights, but i did assemble them as they should to give them a shot, and should they not be enough i will just replace the bottoms with some 3/4 material. but so far it holds up to all the things we use them for, (clothing and such) just make sure to put some time aside if you order this bed it does take some time to get it all together, but once assembled it is worth it. i have not had the bed for very long, but should my opinion change, i will put an update on here.

I really love this bed frame

I really love this bed frame. Its very sturdy and can withstand adult things in case anyone was wondering. It can be difficult to put together because if the bed frame is slightly crooked the drawers wont fit right. If you work with it a bit though it all works really well. I had never had a bed without a box spring so I was nervous about that, but the bed sleeps super well and it looks really awesome. You can affix your own headboard to it as well which is really great. Overall I really like this and the storage space is excellent.

but for now it seems to be fine and I have slept on it perfectly

I am a woman with minimal tools and muscle and I put this bed together myself in 5 hours. 3 hours for the frame one night, and 2 hours for the drawers another. I did get help hauling the 3 boxes that it came in into the house, those were heavy. No one helped me put the frame together, and it turned out looking just what I expected. There are no problems with it, except one of the drawers is not closing fully. This is a problem I am sure I can fix given some time to inspect the issue and make sure things are aligned properly. I will give it some time, but for now it seems to be fine and I have slept on it perfectly. As long as you are not in a hurry and organize all of your pieces your fine.

    If youre iffy- dont be!

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to buy, but decided I needed the storage. Im so glad I bought this bed!! It did take approx. 4 and a half hours (my mom, a power drill and me) but the bed is pretty sturdy and Im so happy with the way it turned out! You dont need a boxspring for this mattress it comes with 9 slats and two supports perpendicular to the slats. It came with extra hardware and all the parts, really happy about this. The only thing I would reccomend is buying 4 L shaped support brackets for a little extra stability! So happy with my new bed though!
