The drawers took the longest but once you get one together its easy for the rest of them

Not as hard to put together as you would think. Power drill helps tremendously if you have one. The drawers took the longest but once you get one together its easy for the rest of them. The power drill is not needed but saves you from hand screwing a lot of screws.

    I LOVE MY NEW BED!!!

This bed is everything it is supposed to be. I love it! Youll need an extra pair of hands when installing the slats, but otherwise It was easy to assemble. My puppy hates it because she cant jump up on the bed since it is so tall, but I love the height...it means more storage space! Pair this bed with the Sleep Innovations 10-Inch SureTemp Memory Foam Mattress and it is PERFECT!! Word of warning though...if you are a short person, you may need a step-stool to climb up in this bed with a 10-inch mattress! I know I do!

    Lots of storage!

I just did a room makeover for my sons bedroom. I needed lots of storage because his room is small. The 12 very roomy drawers hold his clothes with room to spare, so I was able to get all of his junk out of the room and into the closet. Assembly was very straight forward. I was able to do most of the assembly myself.

Add a plywood sheet and it works well.

The only real problem is that the slats will pop out of the groove for them if you sit at the foot of the bed- I bought a sheet of plywood to put over the slats (didnt have to glue or nail it- just get one that is as long as the mattress) and that fixed the problem. Id also reccomend gluing the bottom of the drawers to the sides if you plan on putting things heavier than cloths in it. Ive had it over a year now and its holding up well- including dissembling to move once. Its fiberboard so breaking pieces in the move can happen (had to repair it a little after I was careless) but thats to be expected for the cost. Left in place it hasnt suffered any damage and its been subjected to a decent amount of weight and use.

Excellent product at a great price

This product is a great buy. It is not for a typical DIY and may require advanced skills to put together. What helped for me was a bottle of wood glue, sheet rock screws, and a few wedges and shims. It take a while to put together, but when your done its well worth it. The wood glue on the interior edges of the drawers are a must. Great product at a great price.

Not a rich one, but ok

I choose this because i had a Prepac head board already. to mach that i purchased this. the material are thin and shaky and will bend. If you tight it it will break [not over tight, just had tight] Draws are delicate. Im sure kids will open it and mistakenly step on them and will break it. Inside there are two low grade ply wood, which breaks when i moved the bed after assembling. After assembling, searched for Queen bed, for $350 there are nice best in Value City. Not a recommended one for kids. It might be space save for adults.

Did not know what to expect but WOW!

This storage bed was exactly what I needed but honestly since I could not see the finished product before I purchased it I was a bit concerned ... I was going simply on trust with the the good reviews this product received. And I was not disappointed in the least bit. The quality of the furniture construction and hardware exceeds my expectations. It is far better than and similar piece I have seen in stores at a price even several times what you pay for the bed. Please keep in mind this is essentially a kit and it will take you several hours to construct. The time estimates in the instructions are almost a joke, Like estimating it will take 5 minutes to put together a drawer ... now but the 6th drawer I might have cut my time almost down to this. But unless you have done this before or want to proceed throwing caution to the wind, I doubt that and novice could approach this short time estimate. I would guess it took me a total of 5-6 hours to construct the complete bed but I was totally by myself and being very careful. But in my opinion the finished product is will worth the effort!!

    Nice platform bed with storage

This bed is almost all mdf and pressed wood with laminate, the slats are plywood, and the drawer sides are wood. I started by brushing polyurethane on all the non-laminated surfaces to make the unit more resistant to moisture. I then put the drawers together with Gorilla glue on all joint surfaces (also the U-channels, T-spaces, and drawer slides). I did not glue the final assembly. The directions are a joy to use since they are so clear. Every item fit together perfectly. Free shipping from cant be beat. The only adverse thing is a preference issue: the JCB connector heads are chrome (on the white bed). A plastic pop-on cover would be more visually pleasing. Overall, I have a bed that is solid, has nice storage, and should last!

Not the highest quality out there...

This is definitely not the highest quality bed out there - but the price should have tipped you off about that. Our last bed frame was from , but when we went to buy a bigger frame we couldnt find an bed that we liked. Overall the look of this bed is great. It looks super classy. I love the color, the storage in the headboard is fantastic, and for the most part we love it A few complaints: While the bed was easy to assemble, it seems near impossible to get perfectly squared up. Because of this, the drawers have never really sat correctly in their openings. Its not super obvious when looking at it, but its definitely noticeable when its your bed. The headboard doesnt sit completely flush with the bed frame itself, meaning that we have more than once lost items down into the crack between the two. Its about the right size to lose a book or an iphone. Super frustrating, as youd have to try to move the ENTIRE BED in order to retrieve the lost items. And then you once again run into the issue with getting the bed to sit squared up to itself on the floor. I was really hoping to be able to purchase the bedside tables and possibly a dresser to complete our room set-up, but because of the poor quality of the drawers under the bed I will not do so. Instead I will have to look for a different product that seems to coordinate well. Overall - buy it if you are willing to have a great looking but less than perfect quality bed. For the price - we got what we were expecting. If I had to do it again though - I probably wouldve left my mattress on the box spring in the floor for awhile and saved up for something of higher quality.

    Kind of noisy

The draws work great and hold a lot unlike most of the other assemble yourself furniture. The bed does creak a lot and I even screwed the boards to the frame which I would highly suggest. I also added some L brackets to keep the frame together a little tighter.
