I bought this as an extra chair in my basement. I love it. I sit in it all the time and bought an ottoman to match. I am 58 and it fits me well. I have had someone 6 feet tall sit in it also. All guests seem to enjoy. I plan on buying another chair to match eventually.
The chair arrived damaged, all the ball bearings (save one) loosed out of the base. Evidence on package suggests severe impact damage. customer support shipped a replacement base that arrived 5 days later. The new base was clearly an upgrade, with an added bearing gasket to hold the bearings in between the plates. It was a slightly different size base, requiring pre-drilling for reusing the old 6 large screws. Now fixed, chair works well. A little frustrated there was so much work required for the price, but chair is comfortable. Last note- cushion cant be removed for cleaning, it is seen into place; so cleaning crevices are a little more complicated. Still, a comfortable chair.
Super cute in a nursery but not the most comfortable. If you add a very low stool (10 inches tall) it drastically improves the comfort to rock and feed baby in. Very modern looking and great fabric that is easy to clean.
Wifey idea to get this. At first I said $ ( :$ !!! That price is ridiculous. But Im now biting my word. This chair is perfectly aligned with your elbows when cradling a baby. It has a very smooth glide and very easily rocks with a sight push of your foot. I thought it was going to be heavier when pushing but its not at all. Worth every Pennie.
We were hesitant to buy chairs listed as nursery furniture since we are lively but decades past the baby stage; but we took the chance since they appeared to be exactly what we wanted to flank our living room fireplace. They are ideal for the job: attractive, well-made, comfy, and even great if a baby ever comes to visit. I noticed the price on our chair went up $30 in the last four days, so Im glad we bought them when we did.
