I purchased this shoe storage bench because the floor of my mud room was always a scramble of discarded shoes. This attractive and sturdy bench now provides for the neat storage of our shoes (so nice to be able to find the pair I want...). I use the top of the bench for baskets to hold gloves, my purse and those items I need to remember to take along when I go out. My mud room now always looks neat and organized and having the storage at the door is an incentive to take outside shoes off where they belong.
Product arrived very well packaged. No damage done is shipping. Assembled in less than an hour. I love the two adjustable height shelves. My boots fit perfectly in there! The cushion is nice (obviously the cat loves it!) the cover comes off and is easy to wash, the foam insert is cleanable, not easy, but I hand washed it in the tub with dawn dish soap after the cat peed on it. Smdh. I would recommend this to anyone!
We bought this for our entryway. I like that it's not overly big but each individual compartment can fit my shoes (mens size 10) without having to stuff them in there or stack them. It's easy to put together and seems to be very sturdy. My only gripe is that there are no guide holes for the back panel or feet as some others have pointed out as well. For the back panel there are 18 tiny screws, but without any guide holes they can be a pain to screw in. If I did not have a drill, I would have been discouraged to put the back panel in at all. There are small holes for the feet, but not big enough. I highly recommend using a drill to put in the guide holes to make assembly much easier.
Overall very happy with the shelf. It has made our entryway look much more tidy.
