Its ok, but the weak side rail on top bunk makes me nervous

We bought the pine bunk bed a few weeks ago. Assembly was great, its pretty sturdy, and I feel confident in the weight bearing limits. The main concern though is the top bunk side rail. It feels like an afterthought. Its very weak, and we are pretty confident after a few hard tugs it would snap off, making the top bunk essentially useless. Had I been more aware of this defect, I would have reconsidered. Its a shame, but I am disappointed with this aspect of the bunk. We hoped that this bunk would see us though our kids adolescence, but Im not as sure now.

    Good looking. Easy assembly.

I am not super handy and was able to assemble by myself. Turned out great. My 2.5 year old can get in and out but will still probably need a bed rail.

Beautiful bunkbed, sturdy and easy assembly

Great bunkbed, Super sturdy, great value for the solid wood .

    Huge gaps between slats

Cute set, but the slats that come with it have 9.5 inch gaps between the wood slats. Doesnt seem like that will hold 450lbs.....

    Solid and built for safety.

Solid set, and easy to put together. Extra supports under mattresses for safety. Ladder starts at bottom bunk so does not take up extra floor space. We had been looking for bunk beds for awhile, so glad we found this set.

    Adorable but damaged

The bunk bed is adorable, my 6 year old loves it. The only thing is the bed came damaged. Two of the long mattress support rails arrived split and splintered and appeared to be damaged in shipping. My husband wasn't happy at all. We didn't have time to get a new part....it needed to be set up that night, we had company and a new baby coming so we were counting on that bed. My husband had to rig the bed with gorilla tape to build it. It was very frustrating. Other than that the bed is great. We got white, it really is adorable. Updated I reached out to the manufacturer of this bunk bed, and they over night shipped replacement parts for all of the parts that we had issues with. Great customer service and an immediate response. I can't really blame them for how it was handled in shipping, but they were very understanding and didn't try to pass the buck, but instead they took care of us immediately. Great service and they stand behind their products. I would highly recommend.

Great bed but I suggest getting bunkie boards

Great bed. Seems well made. No smell or anything that some reviews complained about. The stickers leave a bit to be desired but all in all im happy with this purchase. I took off a star because one of the slats on the bottom bunk has already cracked when my 12 yr old flopped on the bed. Not even that hard but apparently that was enough. I have ordered some bunkie boards to help support some more and disperse the weight distribution. I think that will take care of it.

    Good not great

Nice looking real wood, however, one wood piece was dented and scarred. All the pieces and bolts were there. One big problem, the top guard rail is not secure!! This can be fixed with an extra bolt or two but watch out for it! I would buy it again.

    Well pleased!

I purchased bed for a grand daughter that visits occasionally and also as an extra bed for overnight company. We used it over Thanksgiving and my 275 pound son slept good. It is sturdy enough for an adult. Of course, its twin length but not a problem for random nights. And its very pretty, white, and easy to assemble
